Loose thy Shoe From off thy Foot

In the past eight months, I have been receiving one letter after another. There are people

waging war against Ellen G. White; against her use of the words “trinity” and “trio”.

According to the Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary, the word “trinity” means, “state of

being threefold. The unity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit as three persons in one Godhead

according to Christian dogma.” And the word “trio” is described as “a group or set of tree”.

These are three great powers – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

“The eternal heavenly dignitaries – God, and Christ, and the Holy Spirit – arming them [the

disciples] with more than mortal energy, .… would advance with them to the work and

convince the world of sin.” Evangelism, p. 616.

“There are three living persons of the heavenly trio; in the name of these three great powers –

the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – those who receive Christ by living faith are

baptized, and these powers will cooperate with the obedient subjects of heaven in their effort

to live the new life in Christ…” Special Testimonies, series B, No. 7, p. 62.

“The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the three holy dignitaries of heaven, have declared

that they will strengthen men to overcome the powers of darkness. All the facilities of heaven

are pledged to those who by their baptismal vows have entered into a covenant with God.”

We read in the Bible that two or three witnesses are needed to establish a matter

(Deuteronomy 19:15). Here we have three witnesses from the books of the spirit of prophecy

quoted above. They state that in heaven are three living, heavenly beings. These beings are

referred to as “the trinity or trio”. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are three exalted

dignitaries in heaven. These are three great and holy powers that have uttered their holy

promise to give us strength to overcome the powers of darkness and to bruise the head of the

serpent.

The Bible proves Ellen G. White to be right in this respect. “For there are three that bear

record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one,” I John

5:7.

“But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the

deep things of God,” I Corinthians 2:10. “And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels

spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire,” Hebrews 1:7. Here the question arises: according to

this verse, are the angels only spirits or are they tangible beings? If we are created in the

image of God and his Son, as the Bible states, this means that the Father and Son are real,

heavenly, holy beings, just as the angels themselves are (as seen in Isaiah 6: 1-3). How then is

it that mere fallen man cannot perceive that the Holy Spirit is also a tangible, holy being just

as the Father and Son are? The Apostle Paul writes that, “the natural man receiveth not the

things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them,

because they are spiritually discerned,” I Corinthians 2:14.



When we say the word “Spirit”, we have been taught to think that a spirit naturally cannot

have a tangible body. This thinking often prevails in regard to the Holy Spirit. We think as

the world thinks.

When I first began to receive letters raging against the words “trinity” or “trio”, I could not

understood why professed SDA’s so vehemently waged war on them, proclaiming them to be

part of the doctrine of Satan. The letters also charged the SDA leadership with adding these

words into the E. G. White books. I asked certain brethren how they understood those words

but didn’t get a clear answer. Then I came upon a booklet entitled, “The Red Flag is

Waving”. I had gotten this booklet last year when in Australia, but could not remember who

gave it to me. So I sat down and read the booklet. It was then that I understood that mortal

man had taken it upon himself to write upon a subject they do not understand fully, and to

blaspheme against the Holy Spirit.

On the 8th page of this booklet is written, “It is a known historical fact that Satan used

Nimrod and his wife, along with their son, Tammuz, to establish his counterfeit religion of

sun worship. Satan eventually got those sun worshippers to revere Nimrod, Semiramis, the

wife, and Tammuz the son, as gods! And later, Satan inspired heathen humans to worship

them as a “divine trio.” The booklet goes on to explain how the worship of Tammuz as the

sun god led to the establishment of Sunday worship. Further on page 23 we read, “Those

pagan people then accepted Nimrod as a god, his wife Semiramis, as a god and their son,

Tammuz, as a god too. Now watch this. Satan worked overtime to inspire the concept of three

gods in one god, Nimrod the father, Semiramis the mother and Tammuz their miraculous son.

They were called the “Trinity”. …. The Sun worshipers had Nimrod, Semiramis and



Tammuz, so ti was easy for them to accept God the father, God the Son, and, get this, God

the Holy Spirit. Satan had a trinity and now the Roman Catholic Church had a trinity.”

Then I understood why a large number of SDA’s wage war on the books of E. G. White. I

also understand what this booklet is trying to say about the word “trinity.”

However, the comparison of three exalted, holy, heavenly beings with three sinful human

beings under Satan’s control is the most despicable deep perpetrated by his satanic majesty

that I have ever seen. The author(s) of this booklet are nothing more than Nimrod’s offspring.

I firmly believe that universal rule is held by three living, holy, spiritual beings; the Father,

the Son and the Holy Spirit. I also firmly believe that every sin will be forgiven man as stated

in Matthew 12:31, 32, but the sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

Therefore, be it known to all, that comparing the Holy Spirit, whom Sr. White saw as “as

much a person as God is a person, … walking through these grounds” (Evangelism, p. 616),

with the son of Nimrod, is the greatest form of blasphemy existing on the earth today.

In II Corinthians 12:1-5, the Apostle Paul writes, “It is not expedient for me doubtless to

glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. I knew a man in Christ above

fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot

tell: God knoweth;) such a one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man

(whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth) How that he was caught

up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. Of

such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.” Note that this



man heard words which it was not lawful for a man to utter. With what reverence should we

approach the three great Dignitaries of heaven? Paul, who had some idea of the greatness of

the Godhead, knew. Furthermore he writes in I Corinthians 13:9, 10, 12, “For we know in

part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, than that which is in

part shall be done away …. For now we see through a glass darkly; but then face to face: now

I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” Paul himself acknowledged

that we do not see and understand the great truths of God fully as yet, but when the final

trump is heard, and His people walk alongside their Creator and Redeemer, then the infinite

truths will begin to unfold and we will see and know as we are known. Dear reader, how than

can sinful, finite man who is born of dust, will go to dust, and cannot comprehend eternity,

take it upon himself to speculate as to the nature of an infinite Godhead? This Godhead has in

infinite love given us all the light we need for our salvation. Will we wrest these words to

make them uphold our meagre theories?

We all need to read again the words of Revelation 4:4-11 in order to realise that in heaven, all

things living are in great commotion. All are praising and glorifying Him who sits on the

throne of majesty. If man could but comprehend the awe and reverence with which we are to

mediate upon the Most Holy Place where Christ stands before the Father as Mediator for

sinful mortal man, the words of this book inviting the reader to compare Nimrod and his

family to the majestic Trio, would be seen by all as the blasphemy that it is. This open

ridicule of the Holy Spirit surpasses that of the ridicule of Christ as He hung on the cross of

Calvary.



Concerning Dr. Kellogg and his book, The Living Temple, Sr. White wrote, “I am instructed

to say, The sentiments of those who are searching for advanced scientific ideas are not to be

trusted. Such representations as the following are made: "The Father is as the light invisible;

the Son is as the light embodied; the Spirit is the light shed abroad.” “The Father is like the

dew, invisible vapor; the Son is like the dew gathered in beauteous form; the Spirit is like the

dew fallen to the seat of life.” Another representation: “The Father is like the invisible vapor;

the Son is like the leaden cloud; the Spirit is rain fallen and working in refreshing power.” All

these spiritualistic representations are simply nothingness. They are imperfect, untrue. They

weaken and diminish the Majesty which no earthy likeness can be compared to. God cannot

be compared with the things His hands have made. These are mere earthly things, suffering

under the curse of God because of the sins of man. The Father cannot be described by the

things of earth,” Special Test., Series B, No. 7, p. 62. If comparing God to the things of

nature diminish his Majesty, how much more is His Majesty diminished in comparing Him to

Nimrod?

In Matthew 28: 19, 20, we read, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the

name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all

things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of

the world.” Did not those of us who were baptized make a covenant in the name of the

Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost to remain faithful to the end? Only then does

Christ promise to be with us to the end.

An Experience



While visiting in Canada at the end of 1997, I wanted to visit a family I had known for many

years. They lived from the tithe. The first month, my sister and I went to the SDA ‘Reform

Church’. The following month, our sister came from Yugoslavia and since she is a member

of the ‘Reform Church’, we were immediately made more welcome that in the previous

month. We studied their lessons and had opportunity to answer some questions. We had a

Sabbath lunch and conversation with certain individuals. Some accepted the papers I

distributed, others didn’t. We felt welcome in the presence of those who were more

accepting. I knew that I was sowing good seed and that it was not in my power to make them

grow. This was the work of the three great heavenly Powers. We agreed to visit a family. I

had intended to show them the many false teachings held by the church, particularly touch the

truths of Revelation chapters 8, 9, 13, 14, 16, 17 and 18. We all sat down in their living room,

and I begun to ask questions concerning the threefold angels messages of Revelation 14. In

particular we spoke about the beginning of the movement of William Miller and his

assistants. But the son of the head of the household tried to veer the subject to other grounds.

I told him that these messages (along with the message of Revelation 18) are of vital

importance today, and that in choosing to accept or reject them, we are choosing between life

and death. I mentioned the words of Sr. White in the 1884 Great Controversy where she

claims that when the Protestant churches rejected the Advent message, God rejected them.

Thus I prepared the way and changed the topics to Revelation 18. I took out the old lesson

(from 1937) of the “Reform Church” and turned to the lesson entitled, The Seven Trumpets.

In Revelation 8:12 we read, “And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was

smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of

them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.” The

explanation of this verse was quoted from the book of Uraih Smith, p. 487-489. It read that

the symbol of the sun, moon and stars refer to great men in the Roman Kingdom, its kings,



senators and council. The Roman Kingdom fell in 476 and then the light of that kingdom was

extinguished or shone less for a short time afterward while the senators and leaders still held

some power. According to Uriah Smith and all three SDA churches, when the Roman

Kingdom fell, then Roman glory was extinguished.

I stated that this explanation could not be proven from the Bible or Spirit of Prophecy. I also

stated that if all the men from all three General Conferences were here present, they would

not be able to come up with one Bible verse or one quote from E. G. White books in support

of this explanation. From Genesis to Revelation, the sun, moon and stars always symbolized

God’s people or His church. Never, in the inspired pages, were the earthly powers who

enslaved others portrayed as the sun, moon and stars. Quite the contrary. They were

portrayed as beasts. In order to prove my stand from the Bible, I began with Abraham in

Genesis 15:5 and moved on to chapter 37: 9, 10. Then I pointed them to Song of Solomon

6:9, Daniel 8:10, Revelation 1:20 and Revelation 12:1. All these verses were quoted from

memory so as not to loose time.

I told them that the leaders of all three organized SDA churches covered or hid from the

people these prophecies, for they taught that they apply to worldly wars and politics. Had we

rightly understood the 7 trumpets, we would rightly understand the 7 plagues. These 7

plagues are mentioned in the third angel’s message and warn the people that if they obey man

more than God, they will drink of the cup of the wrath of God (Revelation 14: 9-12). I made

it clear that the SDA leaders of all three churches manufactured more poison wine in the last

150 years, than the papacy manufactured in all their 1260 years. The elderly head of the

household and his wife were speechless except for a long, “oooooh.” Had these truths not



been covered up, the world would ere this have been warned and Christ would have come for

His people.

In the end, the elder brother asked me if I recall the words of the maid that f ollowed Paul and

his friends. I remember them well. “The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These

men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation,” Acts

16:17. The elder brother continued and said, “see, this damsel also spoke the truth, yet she

was of Satan.” In that he was referring to me.

I have come in contact with many groups. I know that we are living in a time of the great

fanaticism as existed in 1844. When God works, Satan awakens his servants to imitate that

work. There are groups that preach justification by faith, but without the law. They believe in

Christ’s unconditional love, and believe they have salvation by faith in Him alone, all the

while pushing aside the law. I also know of a group of people who, by their studies, came to

the conclusion that Christ would come in October 22, 1997. As He didn’t come as expected,

they ask themselves why God led them along this path. Yet another group claims to teach the

Elijah message but without laying the axe at the root of the tree. They put all the 144,000 in

the SDA church and claim that all who speak against the church, are also condemning the

144,000. They clothed the SDA church in the robes of the 144,000. I also know of others who

believe that they need to go to this earthly Jerusalem for Christ will come there, and the

sealing of the 144,000 will happen there. They believe that there will be a literal killing by

the angel of death going from one SDA home to another, and if they will escape this death,

they must be in the earthly Jerusalem. There is yet another SDA group who have rejected all

the Spirit of Prophecy writings.



Now in the midst of all this great fanaticism, there must be the true movement, just as it was

in 1844, for all this fanaticism would not arise unless it is to attempt to quench the light of the

true movement.
