The Season of Lent is the 40 days prior to Easter, excluding Sundays. Second Baptist Church invites you to worship with us at our Ash Wednesday service, which is the beginning of Lent. The Lenten season this year will center on the theme “I Dare You.” Our Ash Wednesday worship is a contemplative time to prepare our hearts and minds for the Lenten season. Our service concludes in silence as worshipers may have ashes imposed on their forehead or hand if they wish. We hope you’ll join us for this worshipful beginning of Lent 2014.

You can check out our LOOP newsletter, and preview the coming week’s Worship Guides. You can explore a variety of ways to connect at Second, and while you’re there, check out the Events and Calendar to find the latest information on what’s happening at Second.

SERMONS & MEDIA Jesus sent his followers into the world so that His ministry might continue through them. In this section you’ll find a media archive of sermons and worship services from Second Baptist. Sermon audio and video files are available as well as a link to our Live Stream of 11:00 a.m. worship services on Sunday morning and On Demand videos of past worship services.

OTHER OPTIONSSERVEAdditionally, there is a SERVE section that offers an overview of our missions opportunities, phylosophy and links to get involved with local, national and international serving opportunities. There is a list with links to our key missions partners, those we have aligned with to be the presence of Christ in our world.
