Course description/aim
This course aims to deepen participants understanding of risk management
through the application of risk theory within the context of organisational
scenarios based on the aviation industry. Participants will be introduced to risk
theory and application tools that form the basis for applying risk managment.
They will then utilise this knowledge to develop a critical risk analysis that
addresses identified risk areas within an aviation organisation, and to diagnose
the effectiveness of risk policy and documentation.
Course contents
This course is designed for the individual responsible for planning or directing
an aviation safety program. Fundamentals in systems organization and
structure provide the individual with the essential skills and methodology
needed to plan and manage an effective aviation safety program. Emphasis is
placed on understanding the principles of risk management, identifying
program development strategies, audits and applying the knowledge toward
