Important Properties of Projects

Consists of temporary activities that have predetermined start and end dates.

Uses restricted resources. It has a single goal or a set of goals . All events are to be realized to develop a

Daily Routine Jobs and ProjectsDaily Routine Jobs Repeated without any

modification Routine Continuous Done before Will be done in the same

way Using experience and

past knowledge Known Example: Book press

Projects Not repeatable A new product or a service Done once Never done before Will not be done in a similar

manner Little or no experience Ambiguity Your EE 494 projects

Project Planning 1/2

Project planning is done To complete the project in timeTo prevent and control delays To use resources efficiently

Effective monitoring and control is possible..

Project Planning 2/2

All activities must be planned in details. Detailing can be done in very many different

ways. A hierarchical approach:

– Activity tree

Page 19: Proje Yönetimi

Activity tree (six level)

–Organization as totalOrganization as total
