STARTUP PHASE (1984-1989)
The Nu Skin concept originates around a kitchen table in Provo, Utah, with
the desire of Nu Skin’s founders to create high quality, personal skin care
products that subscribe to the philosophy of “all of the good and none of the
bad.”
With the launch of its first product line, early customers line up with their own
containers to spoon out samples of the new products, and Nu Skin is born.
The company's ongoing mission is to be a force for good throughout the world
by empowering people to improve lives.

including Blake Roney, Steve

GLOBAL EXPANSION (1990-1995)
Nu Skin establishes a global vision from the beginning when the
company name is registered as Nu Skin International.
This era marks the beginning of international expansion by first
expanding into Canada, followed by Asia, the South Pacific and
Europe.
The company adds dietary supplements to its product line and
pioneers a global compensation plan for sales leaders that enables
them to easily build their business in multiple markets and currencies.

1990: Nu Skin begins international operations in Canada, the first
step in fulfilling the global potential of the company,
which now operates in 53 markets after 30 years.
1990: Nu Skin pioneers the first Global Seamless Compensation
Plan, allowing sales leaders to build their business in all Nu
Skin markets without needing to worry about tax
calculations or currency conversions.
1991: Nu Skin begins operations in Asia with the opening of Hong
Kong.
1993: Nu Skin opens in Japan and the South
Pacific region.
1995: Nu Skin begins operations in Europe in
five countries.
GLOBAL EXPANSION (1990-1995)

COMING OF AGE (1996-2001)
Nu Skin goes public with its Asia Pacific markets and later
consolidates all of it global operations under its public listing.
Recognizing an opportunity to create a comprehensive approach to
anti-aging, Nu Skin acquires Pharmanex, the leader in the dietary
supplement industry.
Pharmanex provides the company with additional scientific expertise
and adds many innovative nutritional supplements to its product
portfolio.

1996: Nu Skin takes its Asia Pacific markets
public under the New York Stock
Exchange ticker symbol NUS.
1996: Nu Skin opens in Korea and expands
in Europe.
1998: Nu Skin acquires Pharmanex, a brand

supplements.
1998: The company’s public listing expands
to include all global markets.
2001: Nu Skin launches the Galvanic Spa

Nu Skin appoints Chief Executive Officer Truman Hunt and Chief Scientific
Officer Joseph Chang to help lay the foundation for increased innovation and

Nu Skin expands into Mainland China and later becomes only the second
company to be granted a license for direct selling in Mainland China.
These foundational elements help transition Nu Skin into an era of explosive
growth and into one of the world’s largest direct selling companies.

leaders. In its 30th year, the company stands as a $3 billion
company that is dedicated to improving lives with rewarding
business opportunities, innovative products and an enriching,
uplifting culture.

2008: The ageLOC brand is introduced with the launch of Galvanic
Spa System I
2009: The company rolls out its Nu Skin 2.0 goals of US$5 billion in
annual revenue and US$2 billion in annual sales

2013: The company expands its global headquarters with the
opening of the Nu Skin Innovation Center (440 Million+
Meals Donated through NTC through the second quarter of
2015).
2013: Nu Skin reaches US$3 billion in annual sales. Announces Nu
Skin 3.0 goals of US$10 billion in annual revenue and US$4

2014: Nu Skin celebrates its 30th Anniversary and looks forward to

Blue Diamond Business Builder Position (BBP)
• The BBP is established once the Blue Diamond Executive has achieved and
subsequently maintained Blue Diamond status (minimum 12 frontline G1
Executives) for two consecutive months.
• The BBP allows you to receive additional commission on the sales volumes
of newly created Executive Breakaway groups.
• The BBP is maintained as long as the Blue Diamond Executive meets the
Blue Diamond requirements. If these requirements are not met, the BBP is
withdrawn and any Breakaway Executives under the BBP position move into
G1 for commission purposes.

Basic Requirements:

• Must be a legal resident / citizen and have the legal right to
do the business in the market
• ONLY ONE DISTRIBUTORSHIP PER INDIVIDUAL
• No Product Purchase Requirement other than a not-for-
profit Business Portfolio purchased at-cost.
• Other documents may be required depending on the type of
Distributorship

Spouses / Co-Habitants
For current Distributors who wish to bring in their spouses/co-
habitants:
If the Spouse or Co-habitant of a Distributor wants to become a Distributor, the Spouse or
Co-habitant must be added to the Distributorship previously formed by the other Spouse or
Co-habitant.
If the Spouse or Co-habitant of a former Distributor wants to become a Distributor, then the
Spouse or Co- habitant must apply to become a Distributor under the Sponsor of the
Spouse’s or Co-habitant’s former Distributorship unless the applicable inactive period
regarding Business Activity of the former Distributor has lapsed.
For Spouses/ Co-habitants who wish to join Nu
Skin as Distributors:
One Individual per Distributorship
Only one individual may apply for a Distributorship but the Spouse or Co-habitant
may also be included on the Distributor Agreement as an Associate.
For Distributors who met and married here in Nu Skin:
If you and your Spouse are already Nu Skin Distributors and have separate Nu Skin accounts
at the time the two are married, you and your Spouse may choose to retain your and his/her
accounts independent of each other.
If the situation allows, you and your Spouse may apply for merging the two accounts. Note: if
Spouse’s are not immediate upline/downline then their organization does not move with them
when accounts are merged.

• You may not pressure any Distributors or prospective Distributors to buy more products or business support materials and services than they can reasonably use or sell.
Operating Your Business
• You must not encourage or recommend that Distributors or prospective
Distributors incur debt in order to participate in the business.
• You must explain how to return products or cancel an order.
• You must not promise or create an impression of guaranteed income to new or prospective distributors.

Submitting Orders in the Name of Another Distributor
You are prohibited from submitting orders in the name of another Distributor

without the individual’s prior written approval.

Reselling
(a) you can resell Nu Skin Products only in your Resident Country and the
Products must be purchased from Nu Skin office in your Resident Country;
(b) you cannot resell Nu Skin Products in a Non-Resident Country;
(C) you may not resell products purchased from Nu Skin office in a Non-
Resident Country. These Products are only for your personal use or to
demonstrate the Products for potential new Distributors.

Advertising Use of Trademarks and Copyrights
Use of Company Trademarks and Copyrights. The
Company’s trademarks and copyrights are valuable assets of
the Company and the Company strictly regulates the use of
these trademarks and copyrights to ensure that they do not
lose their value to the Company or its Distributors. You may
not use the Company’s trademarks, copyrights and other
intellectual property rights, registered or otherwise, in
any form except as specifically authorized by these
Policies and Procedures or as otherwise approved in
writing by the Company. The Company may prohibit the
use of the Company’s trademarks or copyrights in any
Business Support Materials or other medium.
Product Claims
You may only make the specific Product related claims and representations
published in the Company’s Business Support Materials, and Company literature,
and that have been approved by the Company for use in Business Support
Materials in the Authorized Country where you are making the claims.
Before and After Photographs
Only pictures and videos that have been approved by the Company may be used
to demonstrate product benefits.

Internet Selling
Products may be sold on the internet only through
Company websites and may not be sold through
Distributor websites of any kind or any other form
of internet use, including internet video and audio,
social networking sites, social media and
applications, and other sites that have content
based on user participation and user generated
content, forums, message boards, blogs, wikis and
podcasts (e.g., Facebook, YouTube, Twitter,
Wikipedia, Flickr). Blue Diamond Internet
Marketing Sites may link to Company websites.
This prohibition on internet selling includes, but is
not limited to, internet auction and classified
advertising websites such as ebay.com or
craigslist.org.

With adherence to certain guidelines, our Blue Diamond Executives, those who
have attained significant experience and knowledge relating to the Company,
Products and Opportunity, may be allowed to create Business Support Materials
and Services or maintain an Internet Marketing Site.

You must supervise, train, support, and have
on-going communication with any
Distributor that you sponsor, and your
Downline Organization.
Line Switching
You may not encourage, entice, or otherwise assist another Distributor to transfer to

or other tangible incentives for another Distributor to terminate an existing
Distributorship and then re-sign under a different Sponsor.
Correct Information on Company Forms
You may not encourage or assist any Distributor or prospective
Distributor to provide false or inaccurate information in their Distributor
Agreement or any other Company form.

You may not sell Products and/or promote the

retail stores such as health food stores,
grocery stores, and other such

If you own or are employed by a service-related
establishment you may provide the Company’s
Products to customers through this establishment as
long as you are providing proper prescreening and
ongoing support to your customers as called for by the
Contract. In any event, no Product banners, or other

general public in a manner as to attract the general

Express Prohibition of Pre-Marketing in Certain

is expressly prohibited. It is your responsibility, prior to
each instance of conducting pre-market opening
activities in an Unopened Country, to verify through
current contact with the Company that the country or
market in which you plan to conduct those activities is
not a prohibited country or market.

otherwise associate with, a Direct Sales Company, or encourage any Distributor or customer to do so or to terminate their relationship with the Company.

• They do not sell products online, or prospect new Distributors

• They can direct users to a Company Internet Marketing Site or a registered Blue Diamond Internet Marketing Site
• They can share a link to the Company websites including approved before and after photos
