BEDROOM

In order to create a music video which can be related to by the targeted audience, the location needed to be as life-like and realistic as possible. For this, the ideal setting would be a bedroom which would aim to promote the overall feel of the song. The room is ideally a small area which emphasizes the imprisonment aspect.

The floor-space is ideal; a small space which emphasizes a prison-like setting.

The room itself projects a bedroom which has the typical features (which help to project the mise en scene): such as the wardrobe, the bed, the tall-boy, and the wooden shelf unit. In addition to this, the window helps to project a sense of philosophy (with the ideology that the character can look out of it, which can be used to an advantage to hide what is outside of the window, which allows audiences to interact with the video).

STAIRWAY

The stairway is ideal for the

brief musical introduction,

as it acts as a space-filler

and also promotes the

concept of the music video,

as it shows the way in

which the character gets to

the bedroom.
