LOCATION SCOUTING

First LocationWe are considering using this section of the woods for the scenes of Gus running through the woods. We think this part of the woods are good but the trees are a little far apart and it is too open.

Second LocationThis is another section of the woods that we are taking under consideration although we don’t think that having a path through the middle of the woods would suit our film. We could use the path to show his potential to reach civilisation and an escape route but we think that it would be better to have Gus in the middle of the wooded area showing his confusion and lack of security as to where he is.

Third LocationWe are deciding whether or not we want to include some shots of Gus running across an open field or golf course. We could present this as him all alone and emphasize the lack of people around.However, we also think that this may show too much civilisation and it would give the impression that he is close to a town or city.

Fourth LocationThis picture of the woods best suits our impressions of how we want to present the character of Gus and the scenes that he runs through woods.We like the amount of space provided because it is enough to show Gus running but there are also lots of trees around, which connotes that he is in the middle of a big wood with no idea where he is going.
