When Jerome Seegars started looking for a home to buythis past August, he began by looking at short sales. Notpleased with what was available, a sign for New Portcaught his eye while out with his realtor. “We drove in andtoured the townhome models. Then I saw the single familyhomes being built, and asked, how much were they?” heexplained. Upon realizing he could get a threebedroom/two and a half bath home for $199,900, itdidn’t take long forhim to sign thepapers!
“I’m an IT2 and amstationed at LittleCreek in Norfolk,”Jerome added. “Having been in the military for four years,I knew I needed to invest in buying a home.” Jerome hadhis parents with him, and they were all equally impressedwith the open space the models featured. He selected theBiscayne model, and is excited that he will be settled in tohis new home for the holidays. “Chesapeake Homes has alot of incentives for me too, so it was a really smart moveon my part to buy here,” he furthered.
Jerome is looking forward to grilling for family andfriends come Spring, and hopes to get a dog so he cantake it for walks in the New Port neighborhood. He’s evenconsidering taking up golf again, since Bid-A-Wee isliterally steps from his home. Jerome even has plans tocontinue his education, so the proximity of TCC to thecommunity is a bonus too! “I felt really good about mydecision to buy at New Port!” exclaimed Jerome.
