ABOUT REOPENING OUR CHURCHES

A list on how to proceed came to us from Bishop Elias

this week pertaining to the reopening of our Churches.

The first instruction is we are to cooperate with the

State Officials and their necessary demands for safety.

We are to follow the lead of the Roman Catholic

Diocese on an opening day. The Diocese of Cleveland

is planning to reopen Church on the weekend of May

30 – 31, Feast of Pentecost. This will be our plan as

well.

Among the usual demands at this time is keeping a

distance. We are to guard against overcrowding our

Church space. We should be attentive to the counting

of how many persons may be in the Church building at

one time. We have to figure this out as soon as

possible. It is possible we will add extra Mass times to

help with this arrangement. This is not yet finalized.

We are directed to have a sanitizing station inside the

Church lobby. Everyone is directed to sanitize on the

way in and on the way out of Church.

PLEASE HELP WITH THIS. PLEASE TRY TO

DONATE CONTAINERS OF HAND SANITIZER

OR ANTI-BACTERIAL SOAP.

Stay in touch for more details about this subject.

Socializing after Liturgy with coffee and refreshments

may be a little delayed.

ABOUT THE FEAST OF ASCENSION

no evening Liturgy. Do your best to attend by

watching on line as this is a great Holy Day.

Because of the virus dilemma and the fact that

Church is not yet officially open the Bishops

have lifted the part about OBLIGATION for

this year. ********************************************

Remember the traveling Icon of Our Lady which went from family to family for

the intentions of the 25th Jubilee of our Eparchy and for our families to pray a 9 Day

Novena together. At this time this Icon has a permanent place in Church on the wall

by the votive candle stand.

Maybe you would like to have this Icon and the prayer booklet to return to your

home for family prayer at this time.

To reserve the traveling Icon call the Parish Office - 330-666-3598.

you and how to return them. I will wrap the icon in plastic wrap so it can be wiped

after each visit.

or for more prayer needed in these days. Lots to pray for, don’t you think?

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION NEWS

2. Anthony Joseph Adam Lababidi, Son of Tony and Christine Lababidi

3. Jane Theresa Nemr, Daughter of Mario and Tiffani Nemr.

7. Maria Rose Silfani, Daughter of Danny Lee and Amanda Silfani.

8. Maryn Terez Stewart, Daughter of Nathan and Maria Stewart.

9. Bruce Leonardo Nasseeb Fuentes Nieman, Son of Bruce and Julieta Nieman.

Our First Holy Communion Day in May had to be rescheduled because of the virus

problem. So sorry that this had to happen this way. Our Children were all looking forward to

this very special day in their life of the Sacraments.

A new plan has been proposed. God willing I would like this Class of 9 candidates to

be able to receive Our Lord in Holy Communion all together on:

Sunday, October 4 at the 11:00 am Divine Liturgy.

The month of October is dedicated to Our Blessed Mother of the Holy Rosary. This is

a special time for all of us. Let’s pray all the health conditions are at the best at that time and

all are able to participate. LORD HEAR MY PRAYER.

I say thank you to Maria Steward for your excellent instruction and your great care of

this program for the Children preparing for their First Holy Communion. I very much say

thank you to all our good parents and to all our truly beautiful children for your cooperation

and dedication in the faith. I am sure all this is most pleasing to our Lord.
