A er working so hard on making Pursenally Yours so successful, it was me for a li le “Girlfriend Time”. Thanks to Pa Berggren, Kathy Hornsby and Pam Starr we did just that. Nineteen mem-bers joined the “Fun Team” on an excursion to Charming Charlie’s in Chino Hills. Nineteen women on the loose in one store was a sight to behold. Kathy Hornsby led the way into an OZ- like store where purses, scarves, jewelry, sandals could be found in every color of the rainbow. If you were a Winter, Summer, Spring or Fall, they had your color.
Terrilynn Nisle was given the tle of “Best Shopper of the Day” with her $1.00 purchase of some darling rain boots. Didn’t ma er if it hardly rains here, it was a good deal.
Sandy Sligar says “Hats Off!” to Charming Charlies!
Pam Starr, you look FABULOUS in Pink!
Kathy Hornsby and Pam Jones are expert accessorizers
President’s Message New members and long- me members, please join us for the upcoming “fun” events – Shop for Choc Garage Sale on May 4 at the homes of Sharon Vandermey and Lori Stenovich’s. Last year we made over $1,000 to fund our Gi Faire Table materials and supplies.
Pam Jones received expert advice on wearing scarves from Kathy Hornsby and a Charming Charlie sales representa ve. Note to other members, if you bring in an ou it you want acces-sorized, Charming Charlie is your place.
Patrice Reas, Denise Horst and Char Knapp found the perfect summer sandals and at great prices. Lunch at Wood Ranch was delicious. Lots of fun conversa ons and ideas were shared by all.
On May 14, Duffy Rides on Eastlake Village Lake and lunch on Lucie Forward’s veranda. There are a few openings. The last fun event for the year will be in June (details to follow). These “fun” events were designed to: 1. Bring new and long- me members together; 2. Share interests and talents; and 3. Raise money for CHOC Children’s.
Please join in the fun. Events are planned for both night me and mornings so that both Working and Ac ve members can a end. If you have a talent in design, cooking, cra s or shop-ping haunts to share, please contact the “Girls-Just-Want-To-Have-Fun Team” – Pam Starr and Pa Berggren.

Ways & Means Pursenally Yours
H HH HH H P P P 333
A great big Angel thank you to all of you for your support of Pursenally Yours on March 23rd. We raised over $53,000 for CHOC (which includes the generous $10,000 dona on from Hill Brothers Chemical Co.) and all because so many Angels con-tributed their me, talents and dona ons to such a great event.
At our last mee ng, I failed to thank a couple of angels for their help this year. Char Knapp did such an excellent job with catering this year. We all agreed that the short ribs were so tasty (and too much!) and the service from the Anaheim White House was the BEST. And also, Linda Kelly, who helped us secure purses for our auc on and was such a big help to me and others the day of the event. Thank you both!
Please mark your calendars for March 15 next year. It will be our 10th annual Pursenally Yours! The public loves this event and I am sure that it will sell out once again.
Again, many thanks Angels!
Kappy Hurst, Pursenally Yours Chairman

UNDERWRITING
We must move forward as quickly as possible to find the much needed underwri ng support for this project. We need some new underwri ng contacts. If you know someone who might be a possible underwriter (and you never know un l you ask) please let me know. Give me the contact informa on and I will follow up or I will give you the informa on packet for a more personal ap-proach. There are several different levels of sponsor-ship. Joint or co- sponsorship is available as well. We are also looking for pledges to support a LAG Guild card again this year, as well as an All Guild Card. A sign up sheet will be sent around at the May mee ng.
ARTWORK
The Design Commi ee is working to coordinate the new artwork for the 2013 Holiday Card Collec on. We have had a few designs turned in as well as some new con-tacts for children interested in contribu ng artwork. We are always looking for new ideas and would appreciate your input.
CARD MESSAGES & LAYOUTS
As artwork comes in a mock up layout of each card is created including the inside messages. The designs are then scanned, sized and color corrected. If this is some-thing of interest to you, please put on your crea ve ha-los and give me a call.
BROCHURE
Once the card files are prepared, the underwriter’s se-lec ons have been made and the pricing informa on has been updated it is me to create the new brochure.
ARTIST RECEPTION
The Ar st Recep on has been scheduled for September 19, 2013 at the Yorba Linda Community Center. This is the Kick off for the 2013 Collec on . . . Meet the ar sts, their families and the underwriters. If you like to plan par es, decora ons and menus this is for you. I would like to form a commi ee as soon as possible.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED
TO LAUNCH THE 2013 HOLIDAY CARD COLLECTION!
Many of you have been part of this program since it began in 1997 and it was the Guild’s commitment that made it what it is today. Your con nued support and help is needed as the CHOC Kids’ Cards transi on and reloca on moves forward. I know that if we all straighten our halos, freshen our lips ck and pull up our big girl pan es that together with the support of the Founda on we can take CHOC Kids’ Cards to the next level.

Provisionals
Website
H HH HH H P P P 777
Our provisionals must contribute 50 service hours in order to fly-up to the level of ac ve member. In this provisional year of 2012-2013 Pa Berggren, Donna Frize and Pam Starr contributed over 400 hours. Great job, ladies!
This is the thought that we want to relay to our new ac ve members and our provisional that are working toward that goal. This or-ganiza on brings together ladies that have special skills. Each project we embrace works because we combine and fit all the talents we have. We are unique individuals but as a group we are fantas c.
Pa , Donna and Pam...welcome to this fantas c group!
