Who We AreTheLittlestTumorFoundationisanonprofitorganizationdedicatedtofindingapreventativetherapyandtreatmentfortumorgrowthinchildrenandprovidingwellnessscholarshipstofamiliesdealingwithNeurofibromatosis(NF). MissionToincreaseunderstandingofNeurofibromatosis(NF)andempowerfamiliesdealingwiththedisorder,andtocontinueresearchofpreventativetherapies. What is Neurofibromatosis (NF)?NFisadiseasethatcancause: •Tumorstogrowanywhere inthebody,includingthe brainandspine •Seriousskeletalabnormalities •Endocrineissues •Possibleamputation •Hearingproblemsordeafness •Significantlearningdisorders
The Littlest Tumor Foundation Will:Sponsor ResearchNomoretumors!Toachievethiswewillsponsorresearchtrialsandstudiesthataimtopreventtumorgrowthinchildren.WecurrentlyfundtheDrugDiscoveryInitiative–NFPreclinicalConsortium–whichisdesignedtoenhanceeffectivedrugtherapiesforNF. Provide Wellness ScholarshipsChildrencanachieveanything,andwewantthemtobepreparedandfeelempowered.Wewillprovide“kidsonchemo”,“kidsgotosurgery”and“kidsgotothedoctor”packagesdesignedtoempowerchildrenandfamiliesdealingwithNF.Also,webelieveinaholisticapproachtohealing.Wewillconductretreatsandprovidewellnessscholarshipsforretreatsandserviceslikenutritionaltherapies,yoga,meditationandgreeningoftheenvironmentaroundthechild. Promote AwarenessWithoutawarenesswecannotachieveacure.WewillpromoteawarenessofNFandjoinforceswithotherfoundationsandassociationsthatworktowardawareness,prevention,wellnessand,hopefully,acure.
Little Builds a Cure - Grassroots CampaignBuildingblocksisnotjustapastimeforlittleones.Thewholefamilycanjoininthefuntohelpbuildacure.TheLittlestTumorFoundationissellingchildren’sblocksfor$25.Getalittlecreative
bydecoratingtheblockandattachingapictureofachildorsomeoneyouknowwhohasstruggledwithtumors.Or,youcanaskusforachild’spictureto
sponsor.Therewillbeanartisticinstallationatthe
endofthecampaign.Ourgoalistosellonemillionblocksforresearchfocusedontumorprevention.
