GRID INFORMATION;
A FORMAL PICKET LINE GRID CONSISTING OF ONE BASE LINE
(CENTRAL) and FOUR WING LINES 0+00 thru 9+OOE (300 1 spacing).
LINES WERE CHAINED TO 50' STATIONS.
* THE GRID WAS ESTABLISHED BY G. CLARK AND USED TO PERFORM
AN EM 16 GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY IN DECEMBER, 1983.
DATE OF SURVEYt October 28, 1984
INSTRUMENT USED; GEOMETRICS PROTON MAGNETOMETER MODEL G-816
SENSITIVITY; +1 gamma
INSTRUMENT OPERATOR; DAVID E. CHRISTIANSON
METHOD OF SURVEY;
THE STANDARD MAGNETOMETER SURVEYING TECHNIQUE WAS
EMPLOYED. READINGS WERE TAKEN EVERY 50' ALONG PICKET LINES.
THE BASE LINE WAS READ IN BOTH LINES OF TRAVEL AND
READINGS WERE USED FOR A DIURNAL CHECK.
DIURNAL CORRECTIONS TO READINGS WERE NOT DEEMED
NECESSARY DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE ENTIRE SURVEY TOOK
LESS THAN 1 1/2 HOURS, AND MAXIMUM GAIN IN BASE LINE VALUES
WAS ONLY 3 gammas.
TOTAL NUMBER OF STATIONS; 99

GENERAL GEOLOGYi
GENERAL GEOLOGYThe map area is underlain by rocks of Precambrian age which form 2 ge ological subprovinces within Superior Province of the Canadian Shield. Metavolcanics and metasediments of the Wabigoon (Keewatin) Subpro- vince outcrop in a northeast-trending wedge extending from Lake of the Woods into Pettypiece Township. North of this wedge are gneissic grani toid rocks of the English River Subprovince. Although the origin of the gneissic assemblage is problematical, it is suggested that they may have formed from pre-existing felsic volcanic/sedimentary rocks having a minor mafic component. These rocks have been subjected to several periods of penetrative deformation and have been partially assimilated by later sodic and potassic granitoid intrusions over a long period of time.

KENORA MINING DIVISION
.....G. CLARK, Dec. 1983
( MNR ASSESSMENT WORK FILES )
. ...CONCLUDED THAT....
"The EM-16 survey did not indicate the presence of the mineralization shear zone located along the base line. Therefore a magnetometer survey is re quired to further assess the potential of the anomalous zones which were undercovered and hope fully to delineate the shear zone."
THIS SURVERY WAS PERFORMED TO SATISFY THE NEED SUGGESTED
BY CLARK.
RESULTS
THE RESULTANT MAG. DATA HAS BEEN PLOTTED ON THE GEOPHYSICAL
PLAN ATTACHED IN POCKET.
THE SCALE OF THIS PLAN IS LARGE ENOUGH TO NICELY EXPRESS
THE 100 gamma INTERVAL CONTOURS. (1"= 100') AND WAS
PREPARED TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH THE CLARK EM -16 PLAN.
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SEVERAL LOCAL ZONES OF"MAGNETIC
DEPRESSION"?, MAGNETIC ACTIVITY APPEARS TO BE WEAK IN
GENERAL.
IT DOES SEEM POSSIBLE THAT THE MAGNETIC ACTIVITY
NOTED IN THE VICINITY OF THE "SWEDEN SHAFT" COULD BE
GIVING STRUCTURAL INFO. AND SHOWING THE "SHEAR ZONE"
AS NOTICED ON THE SURFACE OCROP.
page four
CONCLUSIONS;
IT APPEARS THAT THE SURVEY MAY HAVE MET ITS PRIMARY
OBJECTIVE TO DELINEATE SOME STRUCTURE HOWEVER: ANY
STRUCTURE THAT MAY BE DELINEATED SEEMS TO BE TOO SMALL
TO BE CONSIDERED ON ITS OWN.
RECOMMENDATIONS;
IT IS THIS WRITERS OPINION THAT NO .ATTEMPT SHOULD BE
MADE TO DRAW ANY POSITIVE CONCLUSIONS FROM THIS SURVEY
OR FROM THE CLARK EM-16 SURVEY RATHER; THIS INFORMATION
BE ADDED TO THE GEOPHYSICAL REPORT "RESULTS OF MAGNETIC
SURVEY, HAYCOCK TWP., CLAIMS (CLARK OPTION), KENORA, ONTARIO"
AS PREPARED AND INTERPRETED BY J.B. BONIWELL, EXPLORATION
GEOPHYSICAL CONSULTANT, OCTOBER 25, 1984., AND SIMILAR
FOLLOW-UP WORK BE CONSIDERED.
IN ANY EVENT IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THE NEXT PHASE
OF DEVELOPMENT SHOULD WITHOUT DOUBT INCLUDE DETAILED
GEOLOGIC MAPPING AND SAMPLING OF THE NUMEROUS OUTCROPPINGS
WITHIN THE SURVEY AREA.

An examination of your survey report indicates that the requirements of The Ontario Mining Act have not been fully met to warrant maximum assessment work credits. This notice is merely a warning that you will not be allowed the number of assessment work days credits that you expected and also that in approximately 15 days from the above date, the mining recorder will be authorized to change the entries on his record sheets to agree with the enclosed statement. Please note that until such time as the recorder actually changes the entry on the record sheet, the status of the claim remains unchanged.
If you are of the opinion that these changes by the mining recorder will jeopardize your claims, you may during the next fifteen days apply to the Mining and Lands Commissioner for an extension of time. Abstracts should be sent with your application.
If the reduced rate of credits does not jeopardize the status of the claims then you need not seek relief from the Mining and Lands Commissioner and this Notice of Intent may be disregarded.
If your survey was submitted and assessed under the "Special Provision-Performance and Coverage" method and you are of the opinion that a re-appraisal under the "Man-days" method would result in the approval of a greater number of days credit per claim, you may, within the said fifteen day period, submit assessment work breakdowns listing the employees names, addresses and the dates and hours they worked. The new work breakdowns should be submitted direct to the Land Management Branch, Toronto. The report will be re-assessed and a new statement of credits based on actual days worked will be issued.
