LEED MONTHLY PROGRESS REPORT

1. Credit SS PR1: Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plan KDCL Construction maintains all new and existing storm sewer inlets secured with silt fence, hay bales, straw wattle/socks and clean rock for sediment filtration. (See included photo). KDCL Construction has added additional 3” rock at temporary roads to help minimize tracking sediment onto streets. (See included photos)

2. Credit MR 2: Construction Waste Management Plan J.P. SMITH Construction continues to retain 1 trash/waste dumpster, 1 clean dimensional lumber/gypsum wall board dumpster and 1 cardboard/paper dumpster on site as well as continues to separate scrap metal and concrete waste to be hauled off by J.P. SMITH/KDCL Construction as needed. (See included photos). Trash/Recycling Chute System is no longer implemented. Dumpsters are staged along north side of building. The project has diverted 96% of our waste from landfills to date. This is above the goal of 92.1%. As more concrete, steel, cardboard and asphalt are recycled we expect to maintain the 92% plus level. Supporting weight tickets for each have been included with this report. Refer to the included Waste Reduction spreadsheet for waste removal totals.

3. Credit MR 4: Recycled Content Non-Structural Metal Framing, Suspended Drywall Ceiling System Framing, Thermal and Acoustical Insulation, Gypsum Wall Board, Acoustical Ceiling Metal Suspension System Grid, and Community Restroom Tile are among the materials currently being installed which comply with LEED Credit MR 4. (See included photos) At this time we estimate the total amount of recycled materials to be 33.2%. All of the major material submittals have now been received. We anticipate receipt of several minor submittals in the coming month and will update the attached spreadsheet as additional LEED Data Sheets are received. We do not anticipate a significant shift in the total percentages indicated above. See the included LEED Materials Plan Worksheet, dated MM/DD/YYYY.

4. Credit MR 5: Regional Materials Non-Structural Metal Framing, Thermal and Acoustical Insulation, Gypsum Wall Board, Interior Paints and Coatings, and Tile Materials (Thinset and waterproof membrane) are among the materials currently being installed which comply with LEED Credit MR 5. (See included photos) At this time we estimate the total amount of regional materials to be 34.8%. Since the previous report some corrections have been made in response to a clarification of the constraints for regional materials. This has been reflected in the regional material percentage above. We anticipate receipt of submittals in the coming month and will update the attached spreadsheet as additional LEED Data Sheets are received. 5. Credit MR 7: FSC Content of New Wood Products We have been tracking and documenting the FSC certified wood products that will be incorporated into the project. All FSC related submittals have now been received. Currently 58.0% of these products are FSC certified. See the attached LEED Materials Plan Worksheet, dated MM/DD/YYYY.



6. Credit IEQ 3.1: Indoor Air Quality Management Plan A Construction Indoor Air Quality Management Plan (IAQ) has been developed by J.P. SMITH and approved by the Architect. No smoking or tobacco usage has been allowed on the site (See included signage photo). Temporary restroom facilities have been located away from the building (See included photo). Areas are designated for the location of trash containers away from building (See included photo). With the installation of HVAC units and duct work continuing this month, all air handling units, exhaust fans and duct openings have been sealed and protected when arriving on the site and will remain sealed until the units are put into service. (See included photos). Temporary Heating Units remain outside, unit operating and exhausting outside of building

7. Credit IEQ 4.1 – 4.4 Low Emitting Materials

Joint Sealant Caulking, Fire Sealant Caulking, Joint Compounds for Gypsum Board, Acoustical Sealant, Interior Paint and Coatings, Tile, Tile Waterproof Membrane and Tile Thinset are a few materials being used which comply with LEED IEQ Credit 4.1, 4.2, 4.3. (See included photos) Through the submittal process J.P. SMITH has continued to monitor the proposed VOC levels of the materials for the project. To date we have encountered three paint products that exceed the limits outlined in the LEED for New Construction Version 2.2 handbook. We are using the VOC Budget Form to calculate the effect of these products against the total amount of VOC’s present in all of the paint materials. We do not anticipate that these materials will have a significant impact on the totals. The VOC Budget Form will be included in a future LEED report. Please see the attached LEED Materials Plan Worksheet, dated MM/DD/YYYY for documentation of the materials submitted.

8. LEED Materials Plan Update See attached Materials Plan Worksheet. Continuing to receive Sustainable Materials Data Worksheets from Subcontractors and Supplier. Estimated values for materials that have not been purchased are highlighted on the sheet and will remain highlighted until values for Recycled Content, Regional Materials, FSC Certified Content, and/or Low Emitting Materials have been determined.
