Spelling: Spelling Rule:

The letter c makes a /c/ for cap sound. When we hear this sound in words, we know to put a c if the letter after it is anything except a ‘e’, ‘i’ or ‘y’. For example: cap c/a/p – the c makes a /c/ sound because there is a ‘a’ after it. There is no ‘e’, ‘I’ or ‘y’ next to it. Can you list some words that make this sound?

Speaking & Listening: Can you record yourself telling someone in your family 5 facts about Japan? Remember that facts are real information. You can use the information you have learnt in writing this week. Post a recording of your work on seesaw.
