• Some NACO nodes reluctant• Phased, limited approach; 30,000/day• Phase 1: mark most non-AACR2 records• Phase 2: change records• Possibility of further work left for later

Phase 1 outline

• Find records whose 1XX can not be used under RDA

• Only for records that did not also require a mechanical change to the 1XX

• Add 667: "THIS 1XX FIELD CANNOT BE USED UNDER RDA …"

• All Pre-AACR2, all AACR2 compatible• Bi-lingual and polyglot $l• Unrecognized 100 $c text

• Records susceptible to some mechanical change

• Some also marked with 667 field; some re-coded as RDA
