Centuries ago, the impoverished Hokkien people of China were forced to emigrate south, eventually arriving and settling on the eastern coast of Southern Thailand. At the same

time, Muslim migrants from Malaysia had arrived on the west coast and the Thai Buddhists traveled from the north. This coming together of peoples shaped what is now known

at Laem Sak district, where cross-cultural marriages between villagers of di�erent nationalities and religions resulted in the facilitation of goods and cultural exchange.

Explore the community, learning all about the fishermen’s way of life and other skills unique to Laem Sak.

09.20 am. Arrive at Krabi International Airport, then take a van to Laem Sak Community.

10.30 am. Arrive at Laem Sak Community. Enjoy activities at Laem Sak Community, including: • Baba style Thai Cooking Class. • Lunch.

A�ernoon Enjoy activities, including: • Painting your batik. • Making bags from batik.

Evening Dinner and leisure time. Rest at Bulan Anda Baba Resort or accommodation of a similar quality.

DAY 2Morning Enjoy one of the most beautiful sunrises in Thailand. Enjoy a traditional breakfast.

Join activities at Laem Sak Community

• Take a kayak trip to explore the mangrove forest. • Ride a boat to explore prehistoric cave paintings. • Experience the fisherman's way of life. • Visit the Green Caviar Seaweed Farm. • Lunch: shrimp paste fried rice and fruit juice.

A�ernoon Leisure time

03.00 pm. Enjoy learning activities at Laem Sak Community, including:

• Cooking class: Learn how to make the local dessert, Khanom Chak Chai.

Evening Dinner and leisure time. Rest at Bulan Anda Baba Resort or accommodation of a similar quality.

DAY 3Morning Breakfast. Enjoy activities at Laem Sak Community, including:

• CSR: Planting orchids. • CSR: Planting nipa palm trees. • Lunch.

A�ernoon Head to Tha Pom Klong Song Nam, a place famous for its clear blue water and green forest. The watershed is a natural pool on Chong Phra Kaew Mountain with a freshwater canal leading to the Andaman Sea.

Travel to Wat Tham Suea. The name of this temple means “Tiger’s Cave Temple”, presumably because there used to be tigers living inside the cave. Visitors will see a tiger’s paw shaped stone in this cave. In the past, there

was a Buddhist monk who’s looking for a quiet place to practice the dharma. Many villagers came to pay respect to the monk inside the cave, which later became a temple.

06.00 pm. Arrive at Krabi International Airport. Contact Thai Airways check-in counters.

07.20 pm. Board flight TG250 (KBV-BKK) back to Bangkok.

08.40 pm. Arrive at Suvarnabhumi International Airport (Bangkok), end of trip.
