Zonal Institute of Educationand Training (ZIET), Bhuba-neswar emerged as the 5th

Training Centre of KendriyaVidyalaya Sangathan (KVS),under MHRD, Govt. of Indiain April 2012. It becamefunctional in the samemonth and started trainingthe KVS staff.

The Beginning

The CampusZIET Bhubaneswar startedfunctioning with its temporaryarrangement in the staff roomof KV 3 Bhubaneswar in April2012. After the Summer vaca-tion it shifted to the Multipur-pose hall of KV 3 where it isstill functioning.The big hall with two Greenrooms are still being furnishedto make them suitable for thisoffice.The hall has two stages: oneinside and the other outsidewhich is presently used as theDining Space.

MissionThe ZIETs have been estab-lished by KVS to cater to train-ing needs of the staff postedin KVs, Regional Offices andKVS (HQ.). The following roleand responsibility has beengiven to ZIETs. To design and conduct In-service Training, RefresherCourses, Workshops and In-

We havereceived wonderful co-operation from the partici-pants, the six regions underZIET Bhubaneswar as well asthe staff here. Working fromZIET Bhubaneswar has addedto our ability to reach out tomore people. I thank all whohave been associated with usin this past year.

ZIET Bhubaneswar is operating in the Multipurpose hallconstructed for Kendriya Vidyalaya No.3 Bhubaneswar.Till October 2013 all training programmes were beingundertaken utilizing he infrastructure of KV-3, other KVsin Bhubaneswar and also vidyalayas in different regionsunder ZIET Bhubaneswar jurisdiction.Realising the difficulties in conducting programmes exsitu, it was decided to make minimum arrangements inthe ZIET hall to become self reliant.Accordingly temporary curtains for partition and otherarrangements were done.

During this session ZIET Bhubaneswarconducted 16 workshops / Orientationcourses (each of 3 days) and 5 In servicecourses of 21 Days each.This year we trained 731 members of

KVS including teaching and non teachingstaff.As per provisions in the training sched-ule, services of Resource persons andGuest lecturers of specific fields wereutilized. This year we invited 57 experi-enced and erudite people. (Details in ourwebsite)

The KVS Golden Jubilee QuizZIET Bhubaneswar celebrated the KVSGolden Jubilee with an innovative per-spective. Fifty questions were preparedin Hindi related to KVS and uploadediono the ZIET BBSR website. The infor-mation was passed onto all ROs andalso HQ.In this online KVS quiz a total of 237participated which included staff mem-bers of all category. 84 paricipants se-cured more than 60% . Mr. MayankKumar PGT (SST) Bhurkunda, RanchiRegion secured 100% score.The Golden Jubilee Quiz and the an-swers are available in our website.
