KOREA UNIVERSITYKorea University is one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious universities. It has played a significant role in shaping Korea socially, culturally, and academically since 1905. KU also maintains an extensive network with government officials and business CEOs.The university's academic breadth is extensive, including 23 colleges and 24 graduate schools. In the research field, KU is internationally recognized for its 130 research centers, including the East Asiatic Research Center and the Korean Cultural Research Center. KU prides itself not only on being a progressive and globally conscious institution, but also one that plays a role in preserving and developing Korea's unique culture.

INTERNATIONAL SUMMER CAMPUSKorea University International Summer Campus (KUISC) provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn about Korea through academic and cultural immersion during the summer months. It offers one semester's work load condensed into six weeks, during which renowned academics teach both domestic and international students. This program is open to current college students who wish to study in Korea during the summer. The core of KUISC rests in the quality of its courses, faculty members and students. Academic credits earned at KUISC are recognized worldwide and are typically transferred to the students' home institutions. More than 120 course offerings cover a wide range of subjects pertaining to international issues, with a particular emphasis on Business, Economics, Humanities, Sociology, Fine Art, International Relations, Science and Korean Studies. International faculty members from prestigious universities in the US, Europe and Asia provide students with world-class education and research experience.

Welcome to Korea UniversityInternational Summer Campus 2015!

Dear Student,

When you think about what to do this summer, what comes to your mind? Is it catching-up on your academic workload by taking extra courses? How about doing some international travel and sight-seeing? Or experiencing a different culture by making new friends? Or how about having a valuable international work experience? At the Korea University International Summer Campus program you can do all these things and more… making your next summer the most productive, memorable and fun one yet!

Recognized as the leading summer program in Asia, Korea University’s International Summer Campus (KU ISC) program is a six-week condensed semester hosted on KU’s beautiful state-of-the-art campus, taught by foreign professors from prestigious universities from around the world. You can choose to take up to three courses from a selection of over 100, which, in most cases, are transferable towards your degree at your home institution. In addition to rigorous academics, also available is an excellent four-week internship opportunity at a Korean company where you can get real-life work experience in an Asian work environment to add to your resume.

The KU ISC also provides “buddy assistants” – local KU students that help organize social and cultural activities for you to feel at home and part of the KU family. From Korean traditional arts, a visit to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) outside of Seoul or to learning K-Pop dances, the KU ISC makes every effort to ensure that you are able to make the most of your summer in Korea. Each year more than 1,600 students from all over the world participate in the KU ISC – many return for a repeat experience the next year.

If you are looking for an intellectually stimulating, culturally fascinating and socially dynamic experience this summer, the KU ISC program is for you. We look forward to welcoming you to KU this summer!

ISC may just be the ideal teaching environment: The students are very smart and motivated. The support staff makes it possible to concentrate on teaching ratherthan on logistics, and this includes a problem-free stay in Seoul. The colleagues are generous, friendly, and fascinating. This is a great experience.
