• The Directorate with its 66 staffs embodies 15 pre-primary schools,59 primary schools, 43 secondary schools, 22 high schools,11vocational high schools, 5 specialized private schools for childrenwith mental disabilities, 1 counseling and research centre, 1 publiceducation centre, 1 science-art centre, 1 vocational education centre,1 teacher facility, 50 private schools, 21 driving course, 16 studiescentre.

IDDNE consists of different branches, permanent boards and commissions according to the characteristic of the service. Main duties and services of the Directorate are; Personnel, Appointment, Examination, Investigation, Evaluation, Culture, Education-Training and Student Affairs, Program Development, In-service Training, Pre-primary-Special education and Guidance, In-school Physical Education and Sports, Teacher Services and Social Works, Scholarships and Dormitories, Private Education Institutions, Health Affairs, Non-formal Education, Apprenticeship, Vocational Technical Education, Research, Educational Tools and Equipment, Archive and Administrative Department, Civil Defense Services, Press and Public Relations.

The European idea and intercultural learning are important elements of our education and training life. Therefore IDDNE gives special importance for planning

and undertaking project activities.

Workshops for teachers ,students and parents are organised by experts of the fieldof fashion.

Competitions among students are organised. At the end of competitions, there are expositions of the products of the competition. Every year a fashıon Show of fashıon design is organised for all Kocaelicitizens.

In 2 vocational schools fashion design lesson is provided.

Company owners are taught fashion design lesson in the concept of informal education.

Fashion design courses are started for the parents with the cooperation of İzmitMunicipality.
