Elvis, the Beatles, sliced cheese, hula hoops, tie dye shirts, lava
lamps, bell bottoms, mouton coats… and the list goes on and on
if you grew up in the ‘60’s.
As my Dad would say, those are just fads and they will never
last! Since the 60’s, we have since seen so many other things
come and go, but the one true constant is God and His love for
each of us.
When we give generously to God’s work, we make a lasting
contribution that cannot be diminished. When we give of our
tithes and offerings we are giving to something that has lasted
and will last.
Let’s be generous in presenting our stewardship tithes this year.
November 1st is Commitment Sunday, but the spirit of giving
and tithing can be anytime.

Last Sunday Jeff & Lynsie Foster brought their daughter, Millicent Catherine Foster, to be dedicated at our 9:15 worship service. Congratulations to Jeff, Lynsie, Millicent, and big brother John Foster.
We celebrate the Fall Festival held at KHCC last Sunday afternoon! In spite of rain we had a great turnout! Thanks to all those who helped with set up, treats (no tricks), and food – another fantastic KHCC event!

Thank You Note From Property Committee Chairman
To All,
Many of you may not know but Terry Rodenroth has stepped down as our resident landscaper. He’s been do-ing this for a number of years. I don’t know exactly how many, but I can tell you it’s been a lot. He’s been talk-ing about stepping down for the past couple of years or so but has always been talked into continuing up until now. I think we all owe him a heartfelt thanks for all the work he has done. I’ve seen him out there working on those 90+ degree days when most of us are in our air conditioned homes, offices, or cars. He never com-plained and loved doing it. But I think the heat finally won. It would have me a long time ago. Our existing lawn care contractor will pick up where Terry left off and he has agreed to oversee that work.
Therefore, on behalf of the Property Committee and all members of this church I would like to again thank you for all you have done for this church for the past years. You are truly an example of a devoted member, friend, and more than that a Christian and Disciple. We are lucky to have you with us. Also, if in the future you decide you want to resume where you left off there will always be an open invitation to you to do so.
Thanks my friend,
Dennis Murray
