The organisation was superb, attention to detail exemplary and tons of fun and good humour. We only hope that Jo Scott did not go into work on Monday and say, ‘Luv, Darl, Sweetie, Hun do I have to do everything!!!???’ So we had plenty of laughs, lots of concentration on the bingo numbers, plenty of wonderful prizes and then the crowd danced the night away! Our sincere THANKS for a wonderful evening as a fundraiser and as a community event. Well done Jo Hough, Jo Scott, Michelle Fleming, Andrew Jones, Rachel Rockstro, Teagan Crick and Sarah Lawler. Vandalism Last weekend Park Ridge Primary School experienced vandalism and a break-in, much the same as our previous experience. The good news is that the offenders were caught. Of course we do not know whether they are the same offenders, but it is good that school security and police have worked together to apprehend these vandals. If you see any persons behaving irresponsibly, please telephone the police. Year 3 and 4 Production The Year 3 and 4s had a production rehearsal at school yesterday and it looked fantastic! The dancing, singing and acting were a credit to our students who are performing with skill and with a sense of fun. The props looked fantastic, especially the bar and saloon doors created by Craig Plant and the background scenes by staff, added to the experience. The performers were not in costume but some cowboy hats and sombreros certainly helped to set the scene. This ‘YEEHAH!’ production will be for one day only on Friday 14 th August, with a 12noon and a 6:30pm performance. It is being held at the Rowville Secondary School Arts Campus—tickets went home with students yesterday. As the show is being professionally videoed the a udience is requested NOT to take photographs with phones or cameras or to video, as it will impinge on the quality of the professional videoing. DVDs will be available for purchase by families; order forms will go home next week. Special arrangements have been planned for those attending the matinee performance – please see below. Prep Excursion Our Prep students enjoyed an exciting visit to Chesterfield Farm yesterday. They were very lucky with sunny skies and plenty of time to explore the farm. We received excellent feedback about their wonderful behaviour and they certainly enjoyed the day. The farm visit will stimulate oral language and writing skills in the classroom. Thank you to the parents and staff for helping the children to learn in a stimulating environment.
