I am delighted to welcome you to the winter edition of the PTP Newsletter. From Glasgow to Exeter, from Sunderland to Dublin, my colleagues and I have travelled across the UK and Ireland to share your peers’ best practice and top tips. I’ve demonstrated new content, asked for opinions and listened to your feedback, to help K2 shape the development of your training programme. It was great to meet so many of you again this year, thank you for your input and participation. I believe it will be a real asset in helping to achieve evidence of training and competency, as outlined in ‘Saving Babies’ Lives – A Care Bundle for Reducing Stillbirth’ . I’ve attached an Administrator’s Guide to provide an overview. NEW HOMEPAGE The new-look PTP homepage features fresh new graphics and clearer defined reporting and activity tracking in Progress Manager. NEW PROGRESS SNAPSHOTNow renamed Chapter Completions to reflect its purpose and has been moved to the Administrator homepage, underneath Progress Manager Tab. Chapter Completions will display a date for any staff member who has fully completed any chapter during the months selected only. Choose from Any Fetal Monitoring or Any Maternity Crisis Management Training, and the number of months from the two drop down options, then press Update to display the information. Example below. You can save to Excel if needed!

TOP TIP You can Save to Excel or Print your staff data directly from Chapter Completion, or Progress Manager. Just click on the Save or Print tab.

YOUR HOSPITAL FEEDBACK REPORTS NOW INCLUDED!

View your hospital’s own user feedback reports to see how staff rate the K2 training. Resulting from your feedback, this new report will now be sent to your hospital every 6 months, along with the Evidence of Training Report. I hope that you find this new report helps you to evaluate the benefit of the PTP.

PTP ON THE MOVE

We are continuing our work to ensure the PTP is accessible from handheld devices such as iPad/Tablet. This is one of the most requested developments from all our User Groups and we are working hard to make this a reality as soon as possible in 2017.

NICE CTG GUIDELINES

A new draft publication of NICE Guidelines was released on 31st October and is now out for consultation. It contains an update on CTG interpretation, a move back towards the thinking in 2007 guidelines, similar to FIGO, variable decelerations and sinusoidal patterns back in.
