Our online academy offers Pleasant Valley students both the academic strengths of the traditional classroom and the flexibility of home-based schooling. As a member of the school district, your child will receive the same assignments, textbooks, tests, and diploma as his or her classmates.

We expect great things from, and for, our students. That’s why we offer the support they need, including full access to school district facilities and resources, tuition-free.

UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES Pleasant Valley Cyber Academy students benefit from the flexibility of an online learning program and the unique opportunities provided by the school district. • PV Bear’s Den -- An on-campus drop-in center where students can receive face-to-face tutoring and support • Opportunity to enroll in Monroe Career & Technical Institute • Graduates earn a Pleasant Valley School District diploma • Seniors may attend the prom • Students and parents may participate in quarterly networking meetings to socialize and share online learning experiences • Students complete standardized tests at Pleasant Valley School District • Students may participate in school-sponsored activities and social events

STUDENT SUPPORTOur online learning program provides an integrated, team-based system of support. Students learn from online multimedia lessons designed to accommodate a variety of schedules. Educators are available in both the morning and afternoon to offer individualized support and to augment the recorded lessons. Key features of the program include: • Program orientation • Daily, synchronous homeroom session and a dedicated homeroom teacher • Weekly progress reviews • 1:1 support from content area teachers via Office Hours • Asynchronous lessons available 24/7 to provide scheduling flexibility • 72-hour grading turnaround • Constructive feedback on graded assignments • Administrative assistance • Counseling services • Section 504/Chapter 15/Special Education services

PARENT/GUARDIAN SUPPORTParental support is critical to student success. Our program offers parents tools to easily monitor their student’s attendance and academic progress. • Attendance tracking • Robust parent portal, which includes a program calendar and pertinent announcements, work submission log, teacher feedback, activity report, and weekly progress indicator • Online, real-time gradebook access • Weekly performance reports • Streamlined point-of-contact (homeroom teacher) • Ongoing school district support

TECHNICAL SUPPORTPleasant Valley Cyber Academy students receive a Cyber School in a Box™ bundle, which includes a notebook computer, multi-function printer/scanner, additional hardware and software, and textbooks to supplement their online coursework. • Technical Support Hours: 7 AM to 7 PM, 7 days a week • Convenient access to Technical Support via phone, email, and a remote chat-based system
