Allclasses require pre-registration.There are no refunds for missed classes, but ifyou choose to come for a makeup in one of our other classes, we’d love to seeyou!We offer a 25% discounts for multiples and siblings and allow fami-lies to“drop in”on a Move and Learn class for $17 (normally $13) per class, aslong as the class already has the minimum number of participants needed torun it. Designed for first-time parents, this innovative program combines childbirtheducation with an exploration of the Jewish traditions and rituals connectedwith pregnancy,birth and parenting and also provides an opportunity to createlasting friendships. Instructors Rabbi Jeffrey Kaye (Judaic) and Sue Geissler(Prepared Childbirth), lead this program created by the Colorado Agency forJewish Education and co-sponsored by the JCC and RoseMedical Center.Pleasenote: participants join the Boot Camp for NewDads andMiracles andMayhemclasses. Enrollment also includes a JCC Family Membership.

After attending a class you will beaware of the obstacles that can occur in the first days and weeks and know howto handle them.Instructor Donna Brown,R.N., IBCLC discusses the advantagesof breastfeeding,how breastmilk is produced and how to get off to a good start.We recommend taking this class in the last trimester of pregnancy.

Join local pediatricians, Dr. Sharon Sageland Dr. Lisa Schwartz, from SoutheastDenver Pediatrics, as they prepare par-ents for situations that include difficulty in breathing, choking, seizures, dehy-dration and SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).You’ll learn how to performinfant CPR,how to“baby proof”your home and how to respond to burns, cuts,bruises, head injuries, high fevers and more. Instructors also provide valuableinformation about the issues new parents often face during the first few weeksof their baby’s life.

Diapers,bottles and gear– ohmy! Becoming aparent is one of the most rewarding experi-ences you will have, yet also one of the mostexpensive. It can be overwhelming to understand the changes required to yoursaving and spending patterns to plan for the everyday costs of having a child,planning for preschool/grade school and formany parents,saving for college. It'salso critical to plan for how your children will be taken care of in the event of aloss of a family member. Seth Davis is a Certified Financial PlannerTM whospendsmuch of his timeworking with younger families. He will provide a solidoverview on the financial topics you need to know about and answer any ques-tions you may have.
