God our Father, we give you thanks and praise for fathers young and old.
We pray for young fathers, newly embracing their vocation; may they find the courage and perseverance to balance work, family and faith in joy and sacrifice.
We pray for our fathers, who have supported and challenged us; may they continue to lead in strong and gentle ways.
We remember fathers around the world whose children are lost or suffering; may they know that the God of compassion walks with them in their sorrow.
We pray for men who are not fathers but still mentor and guide us with fatherly love and advice.
We remember fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfathers, who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love.
Amen
The beautiful new exterior siding on our church is almost complete.
This improvement has substantially enhanced the aesthetics and quality
of our church structure. We will soon begin replacing all of our light
fixtures with the more energy efficient LED technology. The total cost
of these projects is $120,750. Our goal is to raise half ($60,375) from a
special appeal to our parishioners and the other half has already been
saved in our Repair & Maintenance Fund. So far, we have raised more
than $41,000. We need YOU to help us reach our goal. Please
consider making a financial gift by either placing it in the collection
basket marked “Siding and Lights” or online at ascensionbismarck.org.
We are so blessed to have such dedicated and generous parishioners!
