Eid MubarakA few days later, we will bid farewell to the Holy month of Ramadan after it has overshadowed us with its generosity, good deeds and forgiveness to prepare ourselves for Eid Al-Fitr where all social and humanitarian essence is seen as hearts get closer and people gather for love with all authentic traditions obviously apparent through expansion of fraternity feelings and social compassion for more cohesion and cooperation.On this occasion, we extend our highest congratulations to HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Crown-Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, all KOTC and oil sector employees and all citizens and expatriates, asking the Almighty Allah for many happy returns of these blessed days and to keep our dear homeland an oasis of safety and security.34 TankersDuring the previous period, KOTC was able to enhance its position regionally and internationally in marine transport, especially after owning 29 most updated international technologies and specifications tanker, which is the mainstay for it to materialize its strategic objectives stemming from KPC strategic plan.Despite the fall of oil price and decline of marine transport revenues, the company is pursuing work through phase VI for fleet revamping that includes building 1 crude oil supertanker, 3 liquefied gas supertankers and 4 medium-range petroleum product tankers. By 2020, KOTC would have completed the last phase of the 5-year plan and the number of our fleet tankers would have become 34 tankers of different types and sizes.We are going ahead in enhancing the position of KOTC for serving KPC strategic and marketing objectives regionally and internationally besides seeking to make a strategic partnership of influence in the market of international marine transport industry.

KOTC CEO Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled met with KOTC AD Creativity and Design Team headed by Team Leader (Governmental and Parliamentary Relations) Raed Al-Saffi and members: Superintendent (Marine Dept. Affairs and Risk Assessment) Capt. Bader Nasrulla, Superintendent (Fleet Projects) Abdulla Al-Shimali, Analyst (Fleet Personnel Affairs) Mohammed Al-Jiran, Officer (PR) Ms. Muneera Al-Khashti and Designer (E-sites) Ms. Nadia Azhar. The team presented congratulations and blessings on the occasion of Ramadan. They reviewed the work done during the previous period, including designs of many ads displaying KOTC marine leading role to be published in Rubban Al-Safina "Ship Captain" Magazine, Takes photographs during the team

visit to Tanker Burgan and archiving them. The team is currently exploiting employee talents and creativity in various fields.For his part, Sheikh Talal thanked the team for the great effort for the latter exerted during the short previous period since it was established, announcing that the company management encourages such initiatives expressive of belonging and loyalty for the interest of work. He asked the team to pursue efforts, urging the members for further excellence and creativity in various fields and expansion of their presence in expos and conferences to display the company's image as talent and creativity supporter rather than merely interested in gas industry and marine transport.He provide the full support to the

team by the company management, all managerial groups and fleet operations plus supporting all special ideas, pointing out that the door is open for the team to show the company's creative aspect. He also announced that there is an opportunity for all employees to submit their proposals for participation, including naming the tankers, which the company is planning to build at the next stage. He wished the team further progress and prosperity.In turn, the team leader gave, on behalf of the team members, some memorial gifts designed by the team to Sheikh Talal in presence of DCEO (Fleet Operations) Ali Shihab, Manager (Fleet Operation Group) Capt. Yousef Al-Saqr and Team Leader (PR) Abdul Wahab Al-Qatami.

IT and Communications Group inaugurated audio-visual communication program service, which allows the employee to link office phones to their mobile, and to make written, visual and multi-party conversation, and to know the status of the contacting employee number as well as enables individuals other than KOTC employees to make audio or visual contact with the company employee.

During the inauguration ceremony that held at KOTC Head Office lobby, some employee phones were programmed and they were trained to use this service through communication with IT and Communications Group. Incentive prize draws were made in consist of the event.It is recalled that the service is activated for employees through sending Full Name, KOTC ID

employee number, office phone number and type of the mobile phone system, e.g. Apple, iPhone, Android.This information has needed to be send to the technical support so that IT and Communications team make the necessary actions followed up with an activation of the employee account in Cisco Jabber application along with giving away a booklet on how to use the program.

Liberty Manning Services Limited (LMSL), which is a fully owned subsidiary of KOTC has achieved 2 certifications, the first of which is special for manning in compliance with DNV levels, while the second is specialize in recruitment in compliance with Maritime Labor Convention M LC 2006 requirements.DNV Chief Inspector handed over the certification to DCEO (Fleet Operations) Ali Shihab , Manager (Fleet Personnel Affairs Group) Eng. Abdul latif Al-Azemi, Team Leader (Fleet Personnel Affairs) Capt. Anwar Bouftain and Superintendent (Fleet Personnel Affairs) Capt. Leon Arnha.

KOTC hosted a number of Int'l. Alfa Laval specialized in manufacturing different naval equipment and systems used on board the tankers.Alfa Laval Middle East Ltd. officials delivered a presentation that lasted for many hours tackling the most recent developments in naval equipment industry and fuel technology. Attending were a number of employees from the New Fleet Building Projects, Fleet Operations and Fleet Engineering Groups. They raised some queries and questions answered transparently by the speakers.

Out of its social responsibility and within the framework of encouraging citizens to participate in charitable deeds, QHSSE and Comprehensive Hazard Management Group organized the annual campaign for blood donation in coordination with AL-Ahmadi Hospital and cooperation

with the Central Blood Bank (CBB).The campaign saw special participation by KOTC employees who displayed great response and awareness of the importance of blood donation and its positive results in terms of helping patients needy of blood and the relief

of many people besides health benefits for donors.The campaign included medical check-ups of donors by a specialized medical team from CBB. Blood sugar of donors was tested, blood pressure and height were measured and other check-ups were carried out.

For the 9th consecutive year, KOTC has organized the Ramadan competition for recitation and intonation of the Holy Quran for the company employees and children in cooperation with the Holy Quran Affairs Department of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs. Arbiter was Sheikh Osama Ahmad Ali Sulaiman.This competition comes within the framework of KOTC keening on encouraging all employees and their children to get guided by the Holy Quran rules and directives that organize their life besides learning how to read and recite the Holy Quran based on the fact that it is the correct method of "our Islamic values and traditions

of our fathers and forefathers."The competition included 4 groups. Reaping the awards of Group "A" were: Shuaib Omar Abdul Aziz (1st), Tasneem Hamza Younis (2nd) and Faisal Al-Eisa (3rd ).Group "B" winners were: Minnat Allah Hamza Younis (1st ), Hazem Aiman Emam (2nd ) and Safa Sameer Saleh (3rd ).Group "C" winners were: Tareq Aiman Emam (1st ), Talin Amer Hashem (2nd ), Sama Walid Abdul Latif (3rd ), Mhmd. Farhan Ali Fadhl (4th ), Abdul Rahman Waleed Abdul Latif (5th ) and Adbul Monem Mhmd. Abdul Monem (6th ).Group "D" winners were 9 as

In line with KOTC mission for keeping the ships prepared for all emergencies as per requirements of our HSE System and delivering Crude oil and products in an efficient and safe manner.All KOTC ships carry out drills as per drill Matrix which is prepared in lines with SOLAS requirements and exceeding all industry standards.The drills are well planned and documented complying with requirements of SOLAS.In line with companies SOPEP which documents all

contingencies for any possible scenario. The drills are made as realistic in order to check vessels readiness in an actual emergency and timed to be completed in the stipulated time frame. The drills are carried out in following stages1) Planning Drills and briefing for the actual scenario to be made realistic. 2) Execution and monitoring of the Drills 3) Debriefing and training on shortcomings as observed during the Drills.The Life Saving and Fire

Fighting equipment’s vessels are equipped with are of the highest available standards and the crew trained to maximise the utilisation of the equipment. The readiness of the Life Saving Equipment and fire fighting equipment is checked and deficiencies if any corrected immediately. The shortcomings are pointed out in the de briefing and training carried out to cover the shortcomings in order to raise the standards of the fleet and the sea staff to have the highest possible standards.

"Shuaiba" Liquefied Gas Filling Branch keen on ensuring quality and safety for consumers, a "Customer Service Section" has been created, Eng. Fatima Zainal at Liquefied gas Supplies Dept. – Customer Service Section said. She added that among the most important duties assigned for the section is to receive customer complaints, remarks and suggestions regarding liquefied gas cylinders and accessories, issues regarding liquefied gas cylinder distribution branches, field visits of these branches at co-ops for monitoring distribution processes, recording complaints and remarks, if any.She clarified that other duties of the section are meant for sorting out the

results, starting to document ,the complaints and remarks, arranging to distribute them to the department concerned, following them up, preparing regular reports and recommendations for developing the company products in addition to communication and coordination with local authorities regarding the same and carrying out awareness campaigns for the company products to present them, guide consumers to correctly use liquefied gas cylinders and accessories.Eng. Zainal explain that among other duties of the "Customer Service Section" are holding awareness presentations at schools in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, participation in conferences and exhibitions

associated with the activity of gas and accessories production and distribution, follow-up and searching for the most important developments associated with liquefied petroleum gas, wishing the new section would help realize the objectives it was created for.

Eid al-Fitr represents joyfulness for Muslims worldwide. Types, colors, languages and dialects might differ, but hearts remain united under the law of Allah and its religion. Such a unity reflected based on many aspects of life, including the way of celebrating this gracious event.Eid in Kuwait has special taste. It reunites people and inspires joyfulness and happiness among all segments of citizens. It sends love and understanding, removes grief and quarrel. It is lovely

memories from childhood and a renewable reality rich in social and humanitarian meanings. During the Eid, hearts get closer in compassion with miserable and poor individuals so that joy and festivity overshadow every place with the bliss of gathering.Eid has its usual norms and practices: Kuwaitis have their own traditions displaying their cohesion and solidarity, such as going to mosques to perform the Eid prayers, visiting and congratulating the royal family. Kuwaitis exchange

congratulations reflecting their civilized lifestyle and love of each other.Aspects of the Eid clearly seen in arranging houses so that it will appears fit for the occasion. Kuwaitis have special interest in preparing food for the Eid. Some Kuwaitis open their doors to poor people, expressive of generosity and nobility.Another beautiful aspect of the Eid is the called "Eideh" which is money that is usually given to children and youngsters whom are waiting for it impatiently.
