Mission in Ireland. Nightlight reaches out to people in the entertainment areas of the Golden Mile and SSE

Arena in Belfast. Pray for the staff, including Brian Simons (SSE Arena and the Doc Café Belfast) and Linzie Cobain

(Golden Mile Belfast. Pray for safety of staff and volunteers on Friday and Saturday nights.

Pray for more volunteers to join the teams. Pray that God would continue to bless conversations.

Training in Ministry. The Reception of Ministers and Licentiates Committee processes the applications of

ministers and licentiates from across the world who are exploring the possibility of being received into PCI. This

involves walking with a candidate from the time of the initial enquiry all the way through to a final decision being

made, an exercise that can take several years.

Pray for discernment for the convener Rev Andrew Faulkner and the members of the committee, that they would

make it as easy as possible for those called to PCI, to commence their work here while still retaining the rigour of

ensuring that only those called by God to this work are admitted.

Pray also for ministers who supervise transferring ministers in a 2 year assistantship. Their role is key in enabling

candidates to understand and gain experience in ministry in a PCI context and in helping the Committee evaluate

its progress. Pray for the Committee members as they consider requests from presbyteries to retain the status of

ministers and licentiates without charge, that it may do so fairly and realistically. Pray also for such ministers and

licentiates , that they may know God’s guidance for their futures.

This stands for Labour In Faith & Trust. Tuesday Club. The ‘Tuesday Club’ Bible study will be resuming on Tuesday 12th September in Number 1 Robinson's Row. This is Bible Study where we have the opportunity to take a little bit more time to explore God’s word and what it means for our lives. We will be taking six sessions to look at the five pillars of the Reformation (by scripture alone, in Christ alone, by grace alone, though faith alone, glory to God alone). This is the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and the perfect opportunity to think about what these are still hugely important pillars of the church and our faith today. As long as there is enough demand we plan to run he same session twice, at 2.30pm and 8pm each Tuesday. In the coming weeks there will be sign-up sheet to let us know which session you’d like to come to, this will be announced from the front. The cost of the study guide is £3, payable at the first session.
