3.1 Project Management OverviewProject management has been adopted in various industries of the western countries for numbers of years. However, this system was only formally introduced to Nigeria construction and other industries some few years ago, when some informed organization issued a policy to encourage departments to engage the services of project management consultants to manage their projects. Audit the Community Affairs, Safety, Health Environmental and Security Management System (CASHES - MS) of the contractor to ascertain conformity with local and international standard

Audit the contractor’s Quality Assurance/Quality Control Management System (QC-QA MS) to ensure that it is all inclusive

Audit the contractor’s Risk Management Plan to ensure that all anticipated risks are identified, mitigating plans provided and risk owners assigned.
