Responsible for the daily efficient management of the
Dairy/Frozen department, including maintaining and
ordering for the department.
Duties
Ordering and maintaining stock. Ensure all products and displays
are merchandised effectively in order to maximize sales and
profitability. Educate customers about new schemes and promotional
activities that could benefit them. Keep fresh merchandise rotated
and pulled expired products. Controlled expenses and inventory
levels. Regularly visited relevant competition to maintain an
awareness of store performance and market trends.
Accomplishments
Hasty promotion from being a cashier to being a department
manager.
Created a friendly/positive impression of the department.
Created more efficient ways of organizing the back load and thus
increased storage capacity.
Precise orders kept the section with enough stock to last
without ordering too much that would go out of
date.
