Three Dimensional

The property of the space in which we live and move that indicates motion can take place in three mutually perpendicular directions. This is often expressed with three-dimensional coordinates.

Disk

The union of a circle and its interior.

Golden Mean

The number , or about 1.61803.

Golden Ratio

The number , or about 1.61803.

Golden Rectangle

A rectangle which has its ratio of length to width equal to the Golden Mean.

Golden Spiral

A spiral that can be drawn in a golden rectangle.

Hexagon

A polygon with six sides.

Kite

A quadrilateral with two pairs of adjacent sides that are congruent.

Image of Transformation

The result of a transformation.

Nonagon

A polygon with nine sides.

Octagon

A polygon with eight sides.

Polygon

A closed plane figure for which all sides are line segments.

Rectangle

Quadrilateral with four congruent angles (all 90°).

Regular Pyramid

A pyramid with a base that is a regular polygon.

Shift

A transformation in which a graph or geometric figure is picked up and moved to another location without any change in size or orientation.

Interior Angle

An angle on the interior of a plane figure.

Transformations

Operations that alter the form of a figure.

Translation

A transformation in which a graph or geometric figure is picked up and moved to another location without any change in size or orientation.

Trapezium

A quadrilateral with no parallel sides.

Trapezoid

A quadrilateral which has one parallel pair of opposite sides and one non-parallel pair of opposite sides.
