JOB POSTING #48-18LTC (repost) CMI SUPERVISOR Elgin County Long Term Care Homes Posting Date: April 27, 2018 The County of Elgin, Homes and Senior Services has an exciting career opportunity for (1) Full-Time Case Mix Index (CMI) Supervisor position. The CMI Supervisor coordinates and oversees the full MDS assessment process for residents at the Elgin County Long Term Care Homes. The CMI Supervisor is responsible to ensure all reporting is completed in a timely manner and within established guidelines. The CMI Supervisor prepares and delivers education programs to support the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) implementation and sustainability. Key Responsibilities: Directs, coordinates and is responsible for ensuring accurate and full completion of all required MDS-RAI assessments, resident assessment protocols and care planning for all residents within established timelines, including the provision of on-site support and communications with all RAI users in the Home(s). Analyzes and reports on critical data at various levels of aggregation (resident, unit, facility region etc.) to ensure compliance with Home policies, CIHI and MOHLTC regulations, College Standards, Best Practice Guidelines and Inter-RAI requirements. Ensures financial implications of coding inconsistencies are monitored and conducts follow-up, including corrective disciplinary measures to correct inaccuracies. Supervises MDS/RAI back-up staff to ensure audit and data entry compliance. Trains staff to ensure understanding, and correct application and documentation procedures are followed within PCC and POC. Develops home specific materials within the Point Click Care (PCC) and Point of Care (POC) programs. Coaches key facility personnel to build capacity for understanding RUG III patient classification levels. Develops, introduces and audits processes and systems to improve accuracy of RAI content and decrease coding errors. Participates in strategic planning for program development/improvement including clinical and operational decision-making (i.e. CQI) and annual funding/budget implications. Qualifications: Regulated Health professional with current Ontario certification. Three (3) years previous supervisory experience preferred. Minimum of three (3) years experience with InterRAI suite of tools, MDS/RUG III patient classification systems AIS certification required. Preference given to CIHI trained candidates. Professional and effective communication skills – both written and verbal. Advanced organizational skills. Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule as necessary. Access to daily reliable transportation (this position will attend the County Homes in Aylmer, St. Thomas

and Dutton, ON).

Remuneration: annual $66,739.40 - $78,041.60

Effective: ASAP
