Un da, Jess orden a sus discpulos que subieran a la

barca y cruzaran a la otra orilla del lago.

One day, Jesus asked his disciples to get into their boat and

go to the other side the lake.

Cuando los discpulos se haba ido, Jess subi solo a

un cerro para orar. All estuvo orando hasta que

anocheci.

Jesus then went up on a mountain where he could be alone

and pray. Later that evening, he was still there.

Mientras tanto, la barca de los discpulos estaba muylejos de la tierra. Ellos estaban en peligro, debido a que

se desat una tormenta y el barco estaba siendo llevado

a todas partes por las olas y el viento.

Meanwhile, the disciples' boat was a long way from land. They

were in danger, because a storm had come up and the boat

was being tossed around by the waves and the wind.

Jess decidi ir a ellos, por lo que camin hacia el

barco sobre la superficie del agua a travs del lago!

Jesus decided to go to them, so he walked on top of the water

across the lake toward the boat!

Los discpulos lo vieron, pero no lo reconocieron. Llenos

de miedo, gritaron: Un fantasma! Un fantasma!

When the disciples saw Jesus, they didnt recognize Him.

They were terrified and yelled, Its a ghost!

Enseguida Jess les dijo: Clmense! Soy yo! No

tengan miedo!

Jesus called out to them and said, "Do not be afraid. It is I!"

Entonces Pedro dijo a Jess: Seor, si eres t, manda

que vaya a ti sobre las aguas. Jess le dijo a Pedro:

Ven!

Then Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, if it is you, command me to

come to you on the water." Jesus told Peter, "Come!"

As que Pedro se baj de la barca y comenz a caminar

hacia Jess sobre la superficie del agua. Pero despusde una corta distancia, quit su mirada de Jess y se

puso a mirar el fuerte viento y las olas.

So, Peter got out of the boat and started walking to Jesus onthe surface of the water. But after a short distance, he turned

his eyes away from Jesus and began to look at the strong

wind and waves.

All mismo empez a hundirse, y grit: Seor, slvame!

Jess extendi su brazo, agarr a Pedro y le dijo:

Pedro, t confas muy poco en m. Por qu dudaste?

Then Peter became afraid and began to sink. He cried out,

"Lord, save me!" Jesus reached out right away and grabbed

him. Then he said to Peter, Peter, you have so little faith.

Why did you doubt?"

En cuanto Jess y Pedro subieron a la barca, el viento

dej de soplar. Los discpulos se arrodillaron ante Jess

y le dijeron: Es verdad, t eres el Hijo de Dios!

When Jesus and Peter got into the boat, the wind died

down. The disciples worshiped Jesus and said, You really are

the Son of God!

When you truly trust

Jesus, you can have

peace in the midst of

storm . The Bible says,You (God) will keep him

in perfect peace whose

mind is fixed on You

because he trusts inYou.(Isaiah 26:3)

La confianza plena en

Jess nos permite gozar

de paz en medio de la

tormenta. La Biblia dice,T (Dios) guardas en

completa paz a quien

siempre piensa en Ti y

pone en Ti su confianza.(Isaas 26:3)
