Jenna Finfrock: ILMS Media Center Specialist In honor of April as National School Library Month, we get to know ILMS Media Center Specialist Jenna Finfrock. She is in her second year of running the media center at ILMS and she already has some ideas to make the space more interactive. “My goal is to build a culture of creativity, exploration and discovery in the media center.” Jenna says, “I like helping reluctant readers find material that interests them and also helping more advanced readers find challenges.” Finfrock edits the ILMS Yearbook and is a co-advisor for the ILMS Academic Club. Twice a year she organizes and hosts Scholastic Book Fairs to raise money and earn extra resources for the media center. Before becoming Sirsi/INFOhio Workflows Training Session certified for her position, Finfrock stayed at home with her son, Dawson (4 th grade), and daughter, Cameron (3 rd grade). She is a 2003 Indian Lake graduate who is very active outside of school. She and her family love outdoor sports. In the winter they enjoy snowboarding and skiing. Jenna likes to run and do stand-up paddle boarding in the summer. She also enjoys DIY projects and the Frozen castle she created for her daughter’s Valentine box has been “pinned” on Pinterest countless times!
