Jembatan is a Flinders University 50th Anniversary initiative bringing Australian and Indonesian communities together to encourage cross-cultural exchange and understanding.
The initiative demonstrates Flinders University’s commitment to its close relationship with Indonesia, forged through 50 years of strong research and teaching linkages.
Jembatan, or ‘bridge’ in Indonesian, represents the bridge we aim to build between Australia and Indonesia to strengthen people-to-people links. This is achieved through community and cultural events and educational programs.
Jembatan is committed to working with Indonesian and South Australian community groups, government agencies, education institutions and businesses to promote and strengthen South Australian engagement with Indonesia.
