The client consistently received feedback that new users were confused by their website. There was no trouble getting folks to the site, but when they arrived, they weren’t sure what the Debt Collective was, why it mattered to them, or even what they were supposed to do next. We needed to clarify the client’s brand purpose and value proposition, as well as cut through the complicated jargon around the subjects of debt and grassroots organizing. Ultimately, we needed to redesign the landing page to make it easier for users to sign up and use the platform.
• Designed a responsive landing page consistent with the existing brand identity system
• Distilled financial and technical mumbo-jumbo into clear messaging to guide people through the site
• Researched users for prorotyping and UI design• Produced an animated video explaining the Debt
Collective’s value proposition to users, complete with voice-over
• Created new copy and icons to improve clarity
We were able to successfully implement a responsive landing page that reduced bounce rate and saw an increase in our user base. The additional organizing push in the following months even led to our ideas being incorporated into one Democratic candidate’s presidential platform.

The client hadn’t updated their website for a little over a decade, and they felt that it no longer represented their brand. With a new logo and color palette in hand, the client tasked the developer and I with building a site from scratch that included the ability to edit and manage content after the hand-off.
• Designed a responsive website based on new logo and colors
• Developed an information architecture for displaying large amount of list content like artists, credits, etc.
• Managed client relationship from discovery to delivery
• Produced wireframes and mockups for early feedback
We successfully handed off the newly built site to the client, who has since been able to add and modify the site as they’ve seen fit. Since the launch, the client has notified us that he’s seen an uptick in requests for booking via his site, and we have recently started work on implementing an online store and payment system.

The client was looking to launch a new brand identity with the help of a third party designer in order to expand their business. They contacted me to create a responsive, editable site that fit their new look and feel. At the starting point, their site consisted of a single page with their old logo, some text, and a contact form. The client needed something visually appealing with an intuitive information architecture for both current and prospective students to find upcoming events, forms, and class information.
We were able to succesfully deliver a responsive website for the martial arts school. Since launching the new site, the client has received dozens of interest emails via their sign up form.

As the music release lifecycle gets shorter and shorter, the band needed a single place from which to share official releases and a consistent brand to create a memorable identity with new audiences. In addition, music is a place ripe for audience interaction through social media, which requires a constant stream of content to break through the noise.
Momma’s Boy played over 30 shows in the last year, hitting up SXSW twice and sharing the stage with acts like BRONCHO, HOMESHAKE, Omni, Video Age, Kevin Krauter and LVL UP. On the numbers side, the band broke 30k Spotify streams and almost 4,000 unique listeners. On social, we reached about 3,000 followers from scratch.

In my day to day, I help my team at InQuest and the client social accounts by developing and producing clear, on-message content that helps tell the brand story. I focus on how the content will live and who will be interacting with it. From time to time, I also help the agency by reworking content and layouts on our website in order to improve the user journey and help people get what they need from our site (and hopefully convert sales in the process).
I’ve been able to consistently grow social accounts’ followers and engagments when I can research, test, and implement data-driven strategies, as well as drive conversions where applicable (see below for numbers). As for the blog, we’ve been able to push out content on a consistent basis, with the blog ranking as the top reason folks visit our site.
