HOSTS

ITT CONFERENCE 201210–12 JUNE

In over fifty years, ITT has never repeated a Conference destination. I am delighted, however, that this year, we are making an exception! Those of you who attended the 2005 Barbados Conference will remember that the island hosted one of the most successful ITT Conferences ever. I am absolutely confident that delegates to the 2012 Conference will have an equally wonderful and unforgettable experience.

As always, we are capping the numbers at 450, with delegates limited to two representatives per company. Putting it simply, the ITT Conference is the conference for senior executives in the industry. The delegate list already reads like the Who’s Who of travel, and I can promise you that this year’s business programme will be as strong as ever.

My sincere thanks to Petra Roach of the Barbados Tourism Authority, and to Virgin Holidays and Hilton for making this Conference possible.

Dr Steven Freudmann, F.Inst.T.T. Chairman

We are thrilled and honoured that Barbados will be the host destination for this year’s ITT Conference and we are so pleased to be working with Virgin Holidays on what promises to be a fantastic event.

2012 is an exciting year for Barbados as it is our year of Sport – from grass roots to world class and we are privileged to be the host destination for a number of wonderful tournaments including The Football Legends Invitational this May.

Now we have an extra jewel to add to our crown – the ITT Conference – which will be a perfect opportunity for delegates to take a look at our paradise island and get involved in some truly informative and engaging discussions at the Conference. I look forward to welcoming you to Barbados.

Petra Roach, Vice President, Barbados Tourism Authority

SUNDAY 10 JUNE, 2012

On both Sunday and Monday morning, Minna Cutler will lead Yoga sessions suitable for complete beginners as well as more advanced practitioners. The classes will be open to all delegates looking for a relaxed way to get into the ITT Conference spirit.

It will be less of the topical and more of the tropical as the Conference gets off to a bang on Sunday night! ITT will take over the beach at the Hilton Barbados for the Totally Tropical Party, offering delegates the chance to enjoy a drink or two as they re-connect with old friends. As in previous years, the traditional C&M Late Night Bar will round the evening off in style.

Golfers will play on one of the most breathtaking golf courses in the Caribbean, Apes Hill Club.

The club enjoys a prime location at almost 1000 feet above sea level and is set amongst a richly diverse landscape of meadows, forest and coral stone quarries – and if golfers are lucky enough they may even spot a monkey or two! The 18-hole championship course has been designed to take full advantage of the island’s beauty. Due to the exclusive nature of the Club, the tournament will be limited to 40 players, so be sure to book your place early.

If you’d rather explore the sights and sounds of Barbados, a variety of tours and excursions will be available to delegates at special industry rates by the Barbados Tourism Authority. And, if you would rather relax in typical Bajan fashion, the Hilton Spa is offering delegates a 20% discount on treatments. Further details will be posted on the ITT Conference website.
