The Future is yours!

Dear Sir, Madam,

We are delighted to invite you to the first annual IT Transformation Conference, which will be held Wednesday May 21 in the NH Hotel De Leeuwenhorst in Noordwijkerhout. We expect over 250 CIO's, senior IT executives and other CxO participants, and hope you will join us too.

This conference is the direct result of the feedback received from participants at the annual CIO Day last November. The request was clear - to also have a conference with transformation as the central theme.

Over the past twelve months, CIO Magazine and several partners hosted a series of ten exclusive CIO Roundtable Sessions with IT Transformation as the central theme. The 100-plus participants at these sessions made their opinions forcefully, creating the ideal starting point for this conference!

The conference programme will include out-of-the-box presentations and visions on transformation by leading international spea-kers such as Anna Kirah, a futurist from Denmark, and Tom Trainer, Executive Chairman Global 2000, BTM Corporation and the former CIO of PepsiCo Inc.. There will also be some first class presentations and discussions by your Dutch peers.

This inspiring conference will be an excellent opportunity to network with other leaders in our industry. We look forward to wel-come you on 21 May.

With Kind Regards,

Convergence occurs when business and technology activities are intertwined and leadership teams operate in unison. B. Expert Sessions by Partners and Subject Experts

Expert Session #1: “BI Transformation & Innovation”New BI-infrastructures keep coming up. They put the acquired perspectives of the existing BI-processes into practice. New standards for interoperabi-lity of services, messages and events make it easier to monitor operational applications which drive the company process. They also make it possible to generate added value by BI-infrastructure for example by asking for recommendations. At the moment there clearly is a shift from "focus on data" to genuine understanding for the role of BI within processes. Although there are several varies, the essence of BI stays in tact: facilitating data research and the development of powerful models to make sure that business decisions and performances of company processes improve concrete. Further-more, there will be more attention for the turbulent market and examples which emphasize the topic and bring it to live, will be discussed.Host: Jeroen Dijkxhoorn, Global Technology Practice, SAS

Expert Session #2: “How to use Green IT to drive the business strategy” Discuss on this topic with Orange's best experts and with peers. IT can deliver tremendous value across all areas of the enterprise. However, all too frequently the IT department is marginalized, providing a commodity service to the rest of the organization. With enterprises under growing pres-sure to improve their environmental credentials, the IT department has an opportunity to demonstrate value by contributing to, and even driving, business strategy, helping the rest of the organization recognize the potential it has to offer. As Green IT contains many activities, we will focus on the topic of Datacenter consolidation: The ICT sector is one of the biggest consumers of energy in the Netherlands, responsible for 7,5% of the total energy consumption. Data Centers account for a rapidly growing 23% of ICT CO2 emissions worldwide.Host: Igor Dolfin, Sales Manager & Stephane Minana, Managing Consultant, Orange Business Services

C. CIO Roundtable Sessions (Invitation Only) CIO Roundtable #1: “Outsourcing as an enabler for growth, transformation and innovation” IBM research shows that companies which outsource outperform their peers on key metrics such as costs and return on assets. But do you believe that outsourcing can stimulate growth, transformation and innovation, and what are the prerequisites to go from transactional towards strategical outsourcing? Moderator: Rob Beijleveld, Publisher CIO Magazine Host: Gerhold Runneboom, Director Strategic Outsourcing Benelux, Global Technology Services, IBM

CIO Roundtable #2: “IT & Security 3.0” (English)With the globalization and "The Extended Enterprise" critical business data has to be accessible by many different individuals and organizations worldwide at any moment. During this round table a triptych of topics will be discussed with elements like Securing the Extended Enterprise, Data Loss Prevention and PCI Standards. The Pain & Gain of Security 3.0! The method, experiences and results from practice are the basis of the discus-sion. CIO's will share their vision, successes and learning moments with each other during this session. Conclusions for success, full transformation and the contribution of IT Risk management will be drawn. In this round table, with a challenging vision and practical experience from different sectors, an aspect will be given on effective IT Transformation and a structured risk method in the 21st century.Moderator: Hotze Zijlstra, Chief Editor CIO MagazineHost: Kerry Bailey, VP, Verizon Business
