Fret not Memori-alites; unlike some of Hollywood’s

other book to screen blunders, Gossip Girl does justice to Cecily von Ziegesar’s best-sell-ing books.

“I live and breathe for Gossip Girl. I haven’t missed an episode yet!” sophomore Em-ily Glidden said.

Gossip Girl, set in the Big Apple, fol-lows the lives of a select few teenagers, most of them upper-Eastsiders.

But what exactly makes viewers keep coming back for more? If not for the devilishly charming and good-looking cast of 20-somethings, it’s for her: Gossip Girl.

Gossip Girl is a website where an unknown per-son posts all the gossip about the teen royalty of New York City. With the invention of the camera phone, no one is safe.

In a city that thrives on social scandal, who can blame Gossip Girl? Regardless of what your morals may tell you (like teenagers are ever con-cerned with the morality

of issues) in the eyes of her readers, Gossip Girl is merely performing a public service.

But who is the unidenti-fied, cyberspace genius behind it all? That’s one secret she’ll never tell...

Think of Gossip Girl as Perez Hilton, but replace the scandalous pictures of Paris Hilton and Miley Cyrus with pictures of girls you know and go to school with every day. And as everything in life goes, not everyone makes the cut (sorry, Heidi Montag, LC is just better than you).

That’s where the stars of the show come in.

Among GG’s favorites are Serena van der Woodsen, Nate Ar-chibald, Blair Waldorf, Dan and Jenny Hum-phrey, and Chuck Bass. Relationship-wise, these 6 teens alone weave such a tangled love web that quite frankly, the time it would take to talk

about it would be better spent shopping.

Currently, heart-throb Nate, who used to date Blair but cheated on her with her best freind Ser-ena, is dating Vanessa Abrams, Dan’s former

love interest. Dan’s sister Jenny had a run with Nate, while former party-girl Serena and “Lonely Boy” Dan are on and

off together.“Serena and Dan have

so much drama; I don’t know if they’ll date for much longer.” sopho-more Jacy Luedde.

Until recently Chuck was involved with Queen Bee Blair but ever since his father’s death, poor Chuck has been flying solo.

“I am definitely a Blair and Chuck fan,” junior Erin Duffey said. “They go so perfectly together because they’re both so manipulatively witty and charming.”
