Development of Deoghar Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) on Public Private Partnership (PPP) Structure
Background
Deoghar is located in north east side of Jharkhand, Deoghar is a major Hindu pilgrimage and a famous health resort. It has the ancient temple of Baba Baidyanath, which is one of the twelve 'jyotirlingas' in India. BaidyanathDham, situated in the SanthalParganas of Bihar, is a very important piligrim centre. It's famous for the temple of Shiva-Baidyanath and the place is a popular holiday centre.
Deoghar is about 229 km from Patna (capital of Bihar) and 322 km from Ranchi (capital of Jharkhand) and about 315 km from Kolkata. Government of Jharkhand has proposed to develop a modern Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) in order to address the high urbanization trend, rapidly growing Urban Transport related issues witnessed in Deoghar in Jharkhand.
