– Gradient de champ entre tissus
• [dHb] modifie la SM du sang = contraste endogène– Composante intra-vasculaire

Les résolutions
temporelles et
spatiales de l’IRMf
n’ont rien à voir avec
celles de l’activité
neuronale
L’IRMf ne cartographie
pas l’activité neuronale
directement
• Validation de la procédure
• Qualité et position des images
• Surveillance des performances
• Réduire les mouvements de la tête
• Evaluer les modifications de la perfusion
L’IRMf cartographie
les variations
fonctionnelles
d’oxygénation et de
perfusion cérébrale

• Be always aware of fMRI biophysical and technical limitations
• fMRI may be helpful for preoperative mapping to avoid permanent
neurological deficit
• In refractory epilepsy, fMRI may change surgical management in
20% patients
• fMRI may be helpful to better understand clinical impairment and
improve rehabililitation
• EEG-fMRI remains WIP
• fMRI of perfusion is helpful in clinical practice for diagnosis and fMRI
• To be useful in medicine, remain a radiologist with medical and technical skills
