Die CU 102/AEI ist für max. 30 m2 große Räume mit normaler Akustik ausgelegt. (Für größere Räume sind andere Systeme verfügbar).

Das Mikrofon der CU 102/AEI besitzt Rundum-Charakteristik und eine außerordentlich hohe Sprachempfindlichkeit. Dies bedeutet, daß sich das System praktisch überall im Raum aufstellen läßt. Überzeugen Sie sich davon mit eigenen Augen und Ohren!

Achten Sie darauf, daß sich direkt (0,50 m) über dem Mikrofon keine Gegenstände (wie z.B. die Blätter von Topfpflanzen oder Lampenschirme) befinden.

Ihre Telephone Conference Unit 102/AEI wird für normale Gebrauchsbedingungen gefertigt. Die heutigen Möbel sind mit einer unübersehbaren Vielfalt von Lacken und Kunst-stoffen beschichtet und werden mit unterschiedlichen Lackpflegemitteln behandelt. Es ist daher nicht ausge-schlossen, daß manche dieser Stoffe Bestandteile enthalten, die die Kunststoffüße der CU 102/AEI angreifen und erweichen. Die so durch Fremdstoffe veränderten Geräte-füße können unter Umständen auf der Oberfläche der Möbel unliebsame Spuren hinterlassen.

Avaya-Tenovis kann aus verständlichen Gründen für derartige Schäden nicht haften. Verwenden Sie daher, besonders bei neuen oder mit Lackpflegemitteln aufge-frischten Möbeln, für Ihre Telephone Conference Unit 102/AEI eine rutschfeste Unterlage.

CU 102/AEI

Anschluß der CU 102/AEI an ein Telefon

Nach dem Stecken des Steckernetzteils blinkt die LED-Anzeige kurz auf, um anzuzeigen, daß die CU 102/AEI betriebsbereit ist. Anschlußkabel der Telephone Conference Unit 102/AEI beim T1 Telefon in die AEI-Buchse (AEI X/Y) oder beim T3 Telefon in die AEI Anschlußbuchse des Links auf der Unterseite des Telefons stecken.

Wenn an Ihr Telefon ein Schaltkontaktmodul (nur I33/CS I55) oder ein DSS-Modul angeschlossen ist, dann wird das Anschlußkabel der CU 102/AEI an die „AE”– Ausgangsbuchse des DSS-Moduls, bzw. an die „AEI X/Y (Zusatzgerät)”-Buchse des Schaltkontaktmoduls angeschlossen.

Für die Telefone TH13 und TM13 an der Integral 33/CS I55 gilt:Telefon im Menü auf „Sprechzeug vorhanden AEI” einstellen wie in der Bedienungsanleitung des Telefons beschrieben.

Für T3 Comfort und Classic an CS I55 gilt:Im Menü Einstellungen/CTI-/Audio-Link/Ext. Freisprechen auf (ein) stellen.

Für T3 Compact an CS I55 gilt:Im Menü Einstellungen/Link einstellen/Gerät auf „Ext. FRE” stellen. Die +, – und die Stummschalt-Taste haben beim T3 Compact keine Auswirkung auf die Funktion der CU102/AEI!

Für die Telefone TH13, TM13 und TS13FRE an der Integral 3/5 gilt: Anlage einrichten (Service-Techniker) auf – Sprechzeug freischalten AEI – AEI-Modus: Variante 2

Die CU 102/AEI kann mit Hilfe einer Halterung (optionales Zusatzgerät) an der Wand befestigt werden. Sie haben dabei die Möglichkeit, das Gerät so anzubringen, daß die Tasten nach oben oder unten zeigen. Bei einer Montage mit den Tasten nach unten muß das Kabel aus der Kabelführung an der Unterseite des Geräts gezogen und statt dessen durch die Aussparung in der Wandhalterung nach unten verlegt werden.

Automatischer AbgleichDie CU 102/AEI stellt sich nach dem Einschal-ten automatisch auf den jeweiligen Raum und die Telefonverbindung ein. Es ermittelt die vorhandene Raumakustik und nimmt während des Gesprächs kontinuierlich die notwendigen Anpassungen vor.

Manueller AbgleichDie CU 102/AEI läßt sich auch von Hand abgleichen, um während des Gesprächs unerwünschte Leitungsechos zu eliminieren. Hierzu betätigt man die Trimmtaste. Anschließend ist ein kurzes Rauschen zu hören.

Mikrofon-Stummschaltung

Das Mikrofon wird mit der Stummschalt-Taste ausge-schaltet, und die grünen LEDs schalten auf rot. Durch nochmaliges Drücken wird das Mikrofon wieder eing-eschaltet. Wenn Sie das Mikrofon an Ihrem Telefon ausschalten, wird ebenfalls nicht übermittelt, was Sie in das CU 102/AEI-Mikrofon sprechen (beim T3 Com-pact an der I33/CS I55 wird nur das Telefonmikrofon ausgeschaltet!)

Fehlersuche

1 Stellen Sie sicher, daß die CU 102/AEI richtig ange-schlossen ist.

2 Die CU 102/AEI von Hand einstellen. (siehe Seite 9)

3 Überprüfen, ob die CU 102/AEI an der XY-Buchse der AEI des T1-Telefons oder beim T3 Telefon an der AEI Anschlußbuchse des Links angeschlossen ist.

4 Überprüfen Sie, ob alle Kabel richtig angeschlossen sind.

5 Evtl. vorhandene Verlängerungskabel entfernen und prüfen, ob das System einwandfrei funktioniert. Wenn das Problem weiterhin besteht, wenden Sie sich an Ihren Systembetreuer.

Pflege

Das Gerät mit einem trockenen, weichen Reinigungstuch abwischen.

Keine Flüssigkeiten verwenden!

Software Requirements

Telephones to Integral 33/CS I55:TH13, TM13 with software version 4 or later. T3 Comfort and Classic with T3 CTI-/Audio-Link for all software releases. T3 Compact starting with release E07.

Telephones to Integral 3/5:TH13, TM13, TS13 with FRE with installation software E3 package or later. T3 Comfort, Classic, Compact with T3 CTI-/Audio-Link starting with software release R1.

The CU 102/AEI is designed for use in rooms with a maxi-mum floor area of 30 m2 and with normal acoustics. (Other systems are available for larger rooms.)

The microphone of the CU 102/AEI possesses all-round characteristics and exceptionally high speech response. This means that the system can be set up at practically any point in the room. Let your own eyes and ears convince you.

Ensure that no objects (such as the leaves of pot plants or lampshades) are present directly (0.50 m) above the microphone.

Your Telephone Conference Unit 102/AEI is manufactured for normal operating conditions. Today's furniture is coated with an infinite number of varnishes and plastics and is treated with various liquid care products. It is thus not feasible to exclude the possibility of many of these substances containing ingredients that attack the plastic feet of the CU 102/AEI, causing them to soften. Once they have been changed by these foreign substances, the feet of the unit may leave unsightly marks on the surface of the furniture under certain circumstances.

Avaya-Tenovis cannot be held responsible for such damage, for obvious reasons. You should place your Telephone Conference Unit 102/AEI on a non-slip underlay, especially on furniture that is new or has been renovated with liquid care products.

Connection of the CU 102/AEI to a telephone

After connecting the power supply plug, the LED indicator lights up, indicating that the CU 102/AEI is ready for use. T1 phone: Plug the connection cable for the CU 102/AEI into the AEI socket (AEI X/Y) on the underside of the phone. T3 phone: Plug the connection cable for the CU 102/AEI into the AEI socket (AEI X/Y) on the underside of the Link.

If a switch contact module (I33/CS I55 only) or a DSS module is attached to the AEI socket of your telephone, connect the connecting cable for the CU 102/AEI to the "AE" output socket of the DSS module or to the "AEI X/Y" socket of the switch contact module (Auxiliary module).

The following applies for the T3 Comfort/Classic to CS I55: Set handsfree to ”on” in the ”Settings/CTI-/Audio link/Ext. handsfree” menu item.

For T3 Compact to CS I55 do the following: Enable ”ext. FRE” in the ”Settings/CTI-/Link settings/Device” menu item. Pressing +, – or the Mute key has no effect on the CU 102/AEI functions!

The following applies for TH13, TM13 and TS13FRE telephones connected to Integral 3/5:

Set the system (service engineer) to: – Enable headset AEI – AEI mode: Variant 2

Set the telephone to "Headset present" on the "Telephone settings" menu item.

The CU 102/AEI can be wall-mounted using brackets (supplied as an option). This permits you to install the unit so that the keys face up or down. If installed with the keys facing down, the cable must be withdrawn from the cable guide on the under-side of the unit and instead routed downwards through the recess in the wall bracket.

Outgoing call

Enter the desired number via the keypad of the telephone.

Press the Handsfree key. (T3: Handsfree/Monitoring key). The green LED lights up. Pressing this key initiates automatic dialing of the previously entered number and activates the handsfree function of the CU 102/AEI.

Press the Release key or the Handsfree key to end the call. (T3: Esc or Handsfree/Monitoring key)or

Press the On/Off key on the CU 102/AEI to end the call.

Incoming call

Press the Handsfree key (T3: Handsfree/Monitoring key) on the telephone to enable the handsfree function of the CU 102/AEI to be switched on and the call to be accepted.or

Setting the telephone volume

Lift the handset. Make call and put the handset aside.

Switch on the CU 102/AEI.

Loudspeaker volume

Adjust the loudspeaker volume using the – and + keys. Please note: Adjusting the volume control of Integral 33/CS I55 telephones will directly affect the loudspeaker volume of the CU 102/AEI. (Exception: T3 Compact)

Automatic Balancing

After switching on, the CU 102/AEI adjusts automati-cally to the room in question and the telephone line. It measures the room acoustics and makes any necessary adjustments continuously during the call.

Manual Balancing

The CU 102/AEI can also be balanced manually, in order to eliminate undesired line echoes during the call. This is done by pressing the trim key. A short noise will then be heard.

Microphone MutingThe Mute key turns off the microphone. The green LEDs change to red. A further press reconnects the microphone. Muting the microphone on your tele-phone cuts CU 102/AEI transmissions to the called party. On a T3 Compact connected to I33/CS I55 the CU 102/AEI will continue to transmit. (Only the microphone is turned off!)

Troubleshooting1 Ensure that the CU 102/AEI is properly connected.

2 Set the CU 102/AEI manually (see page 9).

3 Check that the CU 102/AEI is connected to the X/Y socket of the T1 telephone's AEI port or on T3 telephones to the AEI socket of the Link module.

4 Check that all cables are connected correctly.

5 Remove any extension cable, and check if the system works properly. If the problem remains, please contact your system administrator.

Care

Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cleaning cloth.

Do not use any liquids!
