The distribution pattern of rainfall in the state ranges from over 2,000 mm in the Dangs in South Gujarat to about 200 mm in Kutch

Gujarat has long coastline and two huge gulfs – the Gulf of Cambay and the Gulf of Kutch - the entire Little Rann of Kutch and Greater Rann of Kutch are inundated with saline sea water for most of the year, deteriorating the ground water quality in adjoining areas
