Ship Management

Multi Purpose Research Vessel (MPRV) 'Janan'

Sora Marine Services Ltd successfully managed for five years DP1

Multi Purpose Research Vessel (MPRV) 'Janan‘ owned by Qatar

University. Under the contract Sora Marine provides the full

management of the vessel including all maintenance, upkeep and

operations. Sora marine quality management system and

standard are applied to this state of the art vessel to ensure it is

maintained and operated at the standard that meets or exceeds

the statutory requirements. The safety of the vessel, its crew,

researchers are at the forefront of Sora Marine's priority.

In January 2013 Sora Marine Services has entered into a Joint Venture agreement with the German company

Turbo-Technik and established Turbo-Technik Middle East LLC. Scope is all mechanical works for large ships

including LNG Carriers

STAPEM Offshore provides marine, subsea and maintenance services to companies of the Oil and GasIndustry. Our back office is based in France; it provides the highest standards in administration, communication,safety, logistics and legal assistance. Stapem offers: diving & ROV, maritime expertise, management of oilterminals, specialized maintenance, etc…

New JV with Doha Marine Services

• Signed MoU with Doha Marine Service to create a new Qatari company• Scope to serve oil and gas sector in Qatar with offshore vessels.• Under JV, Sora Marine 51% and DMS 49%• Full JV expected by 1Q 2020• Until the new company is established, Sora Marine and DMS will tender separately for

the same vessel.• Any tender award to be assigned to new JV company once established.• Until company is fully established and running, all technical knowhow is provided by DMS

and local support by Sora Marine.• After JV established neither Sora Marine or DMS will compete with the new company in

Qatar.• Sora Marine awarded first contract by Dolphin Energy for hire of ERRV for four years.

Marine Public Transportation

SORA Marine is a significant contributor to the marine transport infrastructure and development in the state of Qatar. We are the

only company in Qatar entrusted to provide marine transportation to the public through the five star flagship of Anantara banana

island project. We managed to implement a large scale project in a record short span of time. Within two weeks of award letter we

were able commence the operation. Within one year we safely transferred half million passengers.

Sora Marine awarded the contract by Ministry of Communication and Transport to to implant water taxi in the State of Qatar.

In addition to the above, Sora Marine has developed the first ferry services between Bahrain and Qatar. Unfortunately, this project

is on hold now due to the political situation.

Marine Trainings

Sora Marine Training is the only RYA (Royal Yachting Association) accredited powerboat and Motor Yacht

training centre in Qatar.

Our list of clients for the training include, QP, Emiri Yachts and many yachtsskippers.

In addition to our RYA training we delivered VTS training program to QP Ras Laffan and Mesaieed ports. We

have good relationship with STS in Holland who partially owns and operate the International Maritime

College of Oman. Through this cooperation we can deliver all STCW training courses in Qatar or inOman.

The Ministry of Transport and Communications has accredited Sora Marine Training to offer training courses on how to helm private vessels and jet skis.This comes within MOCT’s concern to give effect to the provisions of the Law on Maritime Vessels and train seagoing vessel drivers based on maritime training programs endorsed by Maritime Transport Affairs at the Ministry.
