N. Bogdanos Marine Bureau is a technical and commercial office based in Athens. Nico Bogdanos established the company in Piraeus in 1956, as the first certified technical office in Greece, consisting of marine consultants, surveyors, valuers, appraisers and arbitrators.Our company has more than 50 years of experience in the field of marine surveys and consultancies for Hull & Machinery Underwriters, Classification Societies, Insurance Companies, P&I Clubs as well as Hellenic and International Ship-Owners. Additionally, we have more than three decades of

representing a worldwide network of leading ship repair yards and marine equipment. Ecospeed is a hard STC non-toxic glass-flake coating for hulls & rudders (Ecoshield), based on vinyl ester resin. The imbedded

glass platelets make the coating impermeable for water, thus providing an excellent protection against the corrosion and pitting caused by cavitation.Rudders can be coated with Ecoshield with long-lasting results and at very low cost, breaking the never-ending cycle of painting, suffering damage, extensive repairs in dry-dock followed by a hull repainting and so on. Ecospeed will give the rudder supreme protection against cavitation and corrosion damage for the rest of the vessel’s service life.Ecospeed’s major benefit for the ship’s hull is that it can be cleaned easily of marine growth in or out of the water, without damaging the coating. After each cleaning operation, the condition of Ecospeed stays just perfect, thus keeping the hull always at optimal efficiency.
