    CHALLENGES TO ETHICS

    ISLAM VS. WESTERN

    Islamic ethics define morality; it is defined by

    Quran and Sunnah.

    Western ethics is fashioned by host of people

    which are Capitalists, atheists, etc.

    The foundation of Islamic ethics is morality and

    simplicity which are both qualities of Iman. Western ethics is viewed as immorality.

    When people of different cultures and morals live

    together in the same community, the process of

    enculturation will take place.

    Western ethics brings negative effects likecreating a materialistic society.

    URBAN

    FAMILY - nowadays most of children in urban area arebrought up with a good background education

    WORKPLACE - regardless whether the organization is small

    or big, all workplace must have their rules and regulationsin their company for the staffs to follow

    NEIGHBOUR - usually in the standard urban area, as we cansee most of the houses are next to each others

    SCHOOL/UNIVERSITY - for teenagers, these places are theplace they spent their time the most

    RURAL

    FAMILY - usually a family who lives in rural area, their income is notvery high

    WORKPLACE - places of work for people who live in rural area are farm,sea, orchard and paddy field

    NEIGHBOUR - spirit of helping one another is high because there areusually less people in rural area and they need one another toaccomplish a work

    TEENAGERS - social problem is less as in rural area there is lessentertainment place such as shopping complex for youngster hangingout with their friends and wasting their time

    Towards parents.

    We should perform duties towards our

    parents :-

    1. Obey parents with full devotion.

    2. Respect and love them.

    3. Render service.4. Pray for them.

    3. Observes barrier within men and women

    3. Help them in all aspect that is possible
