Study objectives The Bachelor’s programme “International Studies in Management“ (ISM) prepares you to undertake professional activities with an international focus. You acquire specialized business expertise geared for the international market. The programme’s practical orientation enablesyoutoapplyscientificmethodsinordertosolveconcreteproblems.Youalsoacquireskillsinteamwork,communication,projectmanagementandpresentationtech-niques. Studying in small groups is an important feature of this programme. We focus on your individual profile development and support you personally throughout your studies. You are being looked after and advised by a team consisting of a programme director and lecturers.

Study Course ThefirsttwosemestersarespentatBielefeldUniversityofApplied Sciences. During this time you will study the basics of businessadministrationaswellasEnglishandFrenchorSpanish.You have the possibility to attend more language courses externally. In the third and fourth semester two terms at a foreign university are compulsory (preferably at a partner university of Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences).Basically,studyingatourpartneruniversitiesisfreeofcharge.The course of study is carefully embedded and integrated into thestudyprogramme.Inthefifthsemester,youreturntoBielefeldUniversityofAppliedSciences.Inthesixthsemester,youworkonapracticalproject.Itisadvisabletoeitherdotheprojectagainabroadorelsetoinvolvetransnationalaspects. Finally,youwriteyourbachelorthesis.
