About UsInternational Undergraduate Program in Public Policy and Management (IUP PPM) is the first public policy and management program in Indonesia that has been accredited by AUN (Asean University Network) at Program Level under the umbrella of ASEAN-QA. It reaffirms the quality of education we are providing, not only in Indonesia but also in ASEAN standards. The program is purposefully designed to respond to new challenges on public administration in local and national, as well as global level, and aims at arming student with knowledge and skills in three main areas: 1. GOVERNANCE AND PUBLIC POLICY
2. PUBLIC MANAGEMENT AND INNOVATION
This new area of interest focuses on preparing student with international dimension of development, preparing them in pursuing a career path in international corporations, and international NGOs.
IUP PPM offers students the opportunities to experience international exposure through one of the following tracks:

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
2. Student Exchange Program
The courses offered in the program reflect this vision, and are structured along two main threads. First, the courses contain a set of studies on various objects related with international relations. Second, they also contain discussions about the way international relations are portrayed, and explore the views about how the future of international relations should be. To this end, students will not only be equipped with mere knowledge and skills, but also with a critical attitude toward the existing conditions in international relations, such as injustice, inequality, poverty, environmental degradation and violence to master the following competences, i.e. Diplomacy, Transnational Affairs, Research and Academics, and Journalism.
The IUP program offers cutting-edge curriculum with strong emphasis on three foci of study: Global Politics and Security, Peace and Conflicts Studies, and Internatonal Political Economy and Development. Upon completing their study at IUP in IR, graduates are expected not only to be the members of global society, but also to inspire and bring about changes to the existing political, economic, and social conditions, and to lead their transformations to build a better world. The program envisions and endeavours toward a just, peaceful, and civilized society.

Our staff members develop 5 research groups that are Life Sciences, Industrial Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Material Chemistry and Theoretical and Computational Chemistry. In the last five years, they published more than 30 papers in international journals and 60 in national journals. Some of the faculty members even serve as editors and reviewers of international journals, as well as Scientific Adviser for International Foundation for Sciences, Sweden.

Ÿ Support for exchange program with foreign universities
Array of state-of-the-art research equipments such as AAS, UV-Vis, DTA-TGA, Electrophoresis, Potentiometer, Bomb Calorimeter, GC-MS, HPLC, H-NMR, IR, UV-VIS, TLC Scanner etc. are available. In January 2010, the department acquired a new Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), a major equipment to support quality of nano-research. It is also home to the Austrian-Indonesian Centre for Computational Chemistry (AIC).
Some teaching staffs have various joint researches with their international counterparts such as from Keio University, Chiba University, Hokkaido University, TUBS, etc. The department is also actively involved in Excellence Center for Development (EXCEED) Cooperation, i.e. an international organization for sustainable water management in developing countries.

international ExposureThe IUP Biology will be supported with comfortable class rooms, laboratories with up to date equipment, arboretum, green house, animal house, Biology museum, field stations, as well as library with ever-growing digital and non-digital collections. IUP Biology will also be supported by internationally educated faculty staffs from Faculty of Biology and other Faculties in UGM.
IUP Biology can be completed in 7 semesters with total credits of 144-148. Moreover, the students are given chance to have international exposure through internship, extracurricular, thesis research, join supervision, and dual degree from International partners (e.g. Tun Hussein Onn University (Malaysia), Tunku Abdurahman University (Malaysia), Tunghai University (Taiwan), National Central University (Taiwan), Yamagata University (Japan), Nagoya University (Japan), and Australian National University (Australia). During the programs, students will be challenged through various activities such as lectures, seminars, projects, practical work, self-study and examinations.

FacilitiesThe Department of Computer Science and Electronics has 5 research labs (Algorithms and Computing, Intelligent Systems, Data and Software Engineering, Computer Systems and Networking, Electronics and Instrumentation). The IUP students are also provided with a special common room and drinks, small-size classes, Wi-Fi hot spots, and library with large electronic resources.

The Excelence The IUP-CS commits to provide students with an education of the highest possible quality. The program offers overseas as well as Indonesian students an opportunity to study and obtain their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with international standard and excellent curriculum. Other than the ‘A’ category accredited by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT), the program has been accredited by ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Degree Programs in Engineering, Computer Science, the Natural Sciences and Mathematics), a certified international accreditation agency that is based in Germany.
Students enrolled in IUP-CS are obliged for an international exposure program through either a double degree program, a student exchange program, an international internship, an international competition, a summer course program, or an international conference. For the purpose, we are establishing the cooperation with several foreign universities such as Nagoya University and Kanazawa University (Japan), University of Jinan (China), National Central University and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (Malaysia), University of Birmingham (UK), University of South Australia (Australia) and University of Chicago (USA).

The Faculty provides excellent facilities, including EBSCO online databases (with more than 1,800 journals), libraries with comprehensive resources in Business, Accounting, and Economics, Business Communication Center, Student Service Center (services for students to solve academic and non-academic problems), computer laboratory, campus bicycle, canteen, student housing and wifi account for each student with speed up to 384 kbps.
In addition to prepare the graduates who are ready to play important role in the global market, IUP FEB UGM sets requirement to broaden students' international exposures. In order to get Sarjana (Bachelor) degree, they are required to experience at least one of the International Academic Programs, such as: Dual Degree Program, Student Exchange Program, or Short-term Academic Program.
