BACHELOR'S AND MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAMS Bachelors Degree in Social Work (BSW) Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) Ph.D. (Social Work) BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN SOCIAL WORK (BSW) Admission Criteria: A candidate who has passed HSC/PUC/ICSE in any discipline (Arts, Science, Commerce) of a recognized University Board of Higher Secondary Education is eligible to apply for admission to the Bachelors Degree (BSW) in Social work. Application Information: Last Date for receipt of completed form is May 31 of each year. Documents required:Two recent passport size color photographs Attested copies of the following documents should be attached to the application form ( The originals should be produced at the time of the admission interview) Mark/Grade sheets of all the examinations that the candidate has completed beginning with the SSC or its equivalentDiplomas/Certificates of training undergone other than formal education (e.g. Music, Dance, Social Service, Photography, Journalism) Certificate of participation in extra curricular activities Scheduled Castes/Tribes, Backward Classes and De-notified Tribes Certificates Language Preferred: Applicants are expected to have a fairly good knowledge of English and a working knowledge ofHindi/Marathi. They are expected to appear for an entrance test in these languages at the time of the interview. About the Course: The Bachelors Degree Course is a 3-year course. We offer students a balanced blend of theory and field experience, through classroom learning and compulsory fieldwork of 15 hours per week. Besides this experience, students are exposed to NGO functioning by way of annual rural camps. Continuous fieldwork for a fortnight also enhances studentsunderstanding of grass root realities and simultaneously gives insights into the working of the organization.
