This chapter describes the changes in DBS3900 Installation Guide.2 Installation PreparationsThis chapter lists the tools and instruments that must be obtained before the installation. It alsospecifies the skills that the onsite personnel must have.3 Installation ScenariosA DBS3900 mainly consists of the BBU and RRUs. With RRUs remotely installed, the DBS3900can be deployed indoors and outdoors. If a DBS3900 is installed outdoors with AC or DC powersupply, the BBU can be installed in an outdoor APM30H, TMC11H, TP48600A-H17B1(shortened to TP48600A in this document), or OMB. If a DBS3900 is installed indoors with ACor DC power supply, the BBU can be installed in an IMB03, a 19-inch rack, or directly installedon the wall.4 Unpacking CheckUnpack and check the delivered equipment to ensure that all the materials are included and intact.5 Obtaining the ESNThe electronic serial number (ESN) is a unique identifier of a NE. Record the ESN of the basestation before the installation for future commissioning.6 Outdoor AC Scenario Where the BBU Is Installed in an APM30H (Ver.D)This chapter describes the process for installing cabinets, optional and mandatory componentsin the cabinets, and related cables of a DBS3900 in an outdoor DC scenario.
