Vol. 3Inspirecosplay comic
The Lord of the rings
Galadriel
I loved comic books as a kid and I never
realized how this had shaped me until
I was nearing completion of this magazine
volume. That's when it hit me...
this is likely why I became a designer!
While studying the details of my comics
I saw page after page of the most
brilliant typography and layout design.
My medium might be different than the
sketch artists I came to admire, but I think
our goal was the same...
to inspire others, a younger generation,
to be creative.
These days heroes are not limited to
paper; they have made it to our theatres,
televisions and tablets. but Something is
still missing! something that can not be
captured in real life. monstrous, epic,
powerful... only our imaginations can
create these kinds of details.
We used a mix of photography and digital
art to recreate J. R. R. Tolkien's fantasy
character Galadriel.
Thank you to Walter, Alex and Kay for
helping to make this work possible. I hope
this is just the first of many books we
create together.

At the entrance to the forbidden Golden Wood…
A secret power dwells that halts evil in its path…
A silver stream of many possibilities
flows…
And the fair Galadriel, L ady of Lo rien, gathers its waters, for she has much she wishes
to see.
’
No unease graces the gentle features of the
Elfen ruler, yet her mind is weary with the burden of troubled thought.
Long have I gazed upon
your woods in joyous wonder.
Long have the Elves dwelt in your
farthest reaches in peace.
Yet not far from our
borders, the darkness grows steadily and with
increasing power.
O Lothlorien!
Golden is your roof that houses us.
’
Sweet is
the sound that spills forth from
your rivers.
splash!
A great eye, loathsome to behold, affirms the foreboding in her heart.
From her ewer spills the waters
of fate.
A phial is gathered by the Lady, captured from the star of Eärandil. Surely it
will shed some light in these grave times.
How long will this
land remain safe? How long
before the Elves are driven from
these very foundations?
It is said there is a great land across the Sea. It is told of in
legends and spoke of in whispers.
Is that where our destiny truely lies?
Is the end of the Third Age upon us?
